Hi everyone. Could somebody please recommend a good veterinarian in the Essex count area. Dan and I usually go to Montclair Animal hospital but it's too expensive....

Parkview animal hospital. It's on main ave in Passaic (on border of clifton). Go past costco and it's about a mile on the right next to an intersection. I haven't been there (all our kitties have passed) but I have two friends who use them and rave about them. It's very affordable but the care is excellent from what I have been told. 973-473-4993 We went to Montclair animal hospital for years but left after being told that our 18 year old cat needed dialysis, to the tune of $5000+. jen - try Cameron Animal Hospital- they are reasonable, but vet care is never cheap...i've used them for years...
Does anybody know a good, greyhound-friendly vet in Delaware County, PA?
Colleen C. replied:
Dennis I'm in Drexel Hill and have used both Valley Vet in Phoenixville and ivens-Bronstein in Haverford most recently.
Dennis C. replied:
Is Ivens-Bronstein greyhound knowledgeable? I'm looking for a new vet after an upcoming move. The Longwood Veterinary Center in Kennet Square was mentioned on a grey-talk board, but I was looking for something a little closer. Haverford would be nice and easy...
Colleen C. replied:
I worked in particular with Dr Connolly who was great with my grey. Has worked with them in the past. Noted her need for specific blood work before a dental cleaning. I felt comfortable. Dr Schrieber at Valley Vet has greys himself that he had rescued from this group. He came highly recommended when we adopted. We liked him fine but with a baby and a grey Phoenixville became an unnavigable ride.
Mike K. replied:
Terry McGrath at Rocky Hill vet specializes in exotics including grey hounds
Carrie H. replied:
I have used both Terry and now Valley vet . Dr Schrieber- it's in Phoenixville Montgomery County. Terry I believe is in Chester county still.
Ellen G. replied:
Valley Vet is a BIG GFNJ Sponsor! Dr. Schrieber comes very highly recommended from folks who have used him:)

My cats are the pumas of house cats and Courtney/Heather at Montville Vet Group have them manicured in no time.
John O. replied:
Thank you all very much. I called the Montville Vet Group before and they gave me the name of a Sandra Elk, who has a Mobile Grooming business. I left her a message and am waiting to hear back from her. Aubrey, are you local? If I don't hear back from Sandra Elk, I will contact you. Thanks again. John O'Dowd
ISO a good vet that's not too far from Montclair and that isn't over priced. My cat is losing his fur and has had something going on with him for awhile so I'd like to...
