Hi Ladies!! I need help. I need to find a super cute 50's dress for a reasonable price. Can anyone suggest a store, or does someone have one in their closet in a size...

Peggy Bradley, sounds absolutely divine, but sequins may be a bit too much. Can you send a picture?
Loukia Z. replied:
www.modcloth.com always has 50's styles dresses at amazing prices! I ordered from them and packages arrive so quick!

It's not local but I love this site as you can get a custom fit for an extra 7.50 (free the first time). You also can modify sleeves, dress length etc. www.eshakti.com
Tina H. replied:
Blame Betty is also a great site and they're Canadian, in Calgary, I've bought a few swing dresses from them:)

Funny Tina. I used to live in calgary and shopped at Blame Betty all the time. I'm hoping to support a smaller designer or a designer off etsy/mod cloth or local this time.

Ladies footwear. Looking for a new pair of hiking boots. I've had good experience with a pair of merrels but after a few years they are starting to bite the dust....
Shannon C. replied:
I love my Salomons they don't need to get broken in. I suggest going to the store and finding a pair that feels good and buying it online for cheaper. I have 3 pairs of salomon boots and a pair of their trail runners and I ordered my last pair from lacordee.com (you have to choose english as your language because they are french as a default). I own merrels as well and they look pretty, but just aren't as comfortable to me and I have one pair of Keens and they are heavy and stiff and the sizes run small.
Sue W. replied:
i love my Scarpa's...just over $200 though...but great if you have a narrow foot! Mountain Equipment Co-op probably has the best selection and you use to be able to book an appointment and a professional will help you find the right boot/shoe for your foot...not sure they still have that service...:)
Tara V. replied:
I love my Asolo hikers! I got them from Sports Junkies in Van- half the price of hiking boots at MEC. Worth checking out if you want to save money but get good quality outdoor gear
Amy M. replied:
I have a pair on Hanwags (Similar to Meindl) they are a little more expensive than your budget but they are INCREDIBLE!!! http://www.hanwag.com/ To give you an idea, my first hike in them was Cheam and I came back with no soreness or blisters. I swear by these puppies. Theres a store downtown Van across from MEC.
Emily S. replied:
MEC and Valhalla Pure (in Abby) are both great with helping find something that fits well.

I decided to go with these: http://www.bootsbybohemond.net/.../18-medieval-ankle-shoe Seem light weight and form fitting to the foot and not just the ankle.
Squash shoes and racquet What is a good store (online could work) in Canada or Montreal, if it's a physical store, to buy squash things?
I'm also a student so someplace...

Your looking for "court shoes" I got a pair at sport check and same with my racket. You get what you pay for out of a racket but anything over 60 bucks should feel nice.

Any reputed brand racquet should do fine. Just be sure to check the unstrung weight. 110-120 g range should work out for you. They would not be heavy. I personally use Tecnifibre Carboflex 125 and find it great.
goochockey replied:
Boutique de raquettes on Parc. For really fancy stuff, I am pretty sure there is a kit shop at the Atwater Club. If you are looking to play in the mornings, I frequent the downtown YMCA most days from 7:45-8:30. I have guest passes left on my membership.
68Pritch replied:
I'd suggest [SportsVirtuoso.com](http://sportsvirtuoso.com/en/) - Montreal-area shop run by a local squash player.
Muraruki_Z replied:
Sportcheck have really good off season sales on racquets, brand is limited to Dunlop, Head though. If you have a local club, they usually carry some pro stuff at a discount. There's also a shop in Kingston called racquet science, they do online and in person.

Pdhsports is a great site. I usually check out the clearance section as the prices are decent, usually from last year's models

Women in this group...I'm still looking for a Dr. Bray replacement (though impossible to fill his shoes!) Any recommendations on gynos taking new patients? Thank you! :)
Shannon C. replied:
Try Brunswick Medical Center on St-Johns
Michelle H. replied:
Brunswick Centre is your best bet, I got Dr. Vasilee. I have heard different stories...she is rude to some people but she was good to my daughter and on my first visit I was happy enough with her. But of course no one can match Dr. Bray that is just impossible!

Heather R. replied:
Go to Ecco Shoes (there's one in Fairview). Shoes are pricey but definitely worth it. A rheumatologist told us they were the best and she was right.
Dolores C. replied:
Call J.E. Hanger on st johns beside the casa greque. They specialize in shoes and custom made orthodics. They'll tell you what you need to do, you might need a federal from your doctor tho. If you have insurance at work all the better cause the custom made orthodics will cost you $450. My insurance covered $430 thank but they are well worth it.
Viviana U. replied:
Go see dr. Donaldson, on Sources, north of the 40, he will make you orthotics. You will need to buy shoes one size bigger but it is worth it. I wear lots of Crocs, Vionic (they have very good support, buy them online at The Bay or boutique du cordonnier in Laval) and sketchers.
