Does anyone know an OBGYN that accepts ChampVA insurance in the area.
Donna M. replied:
I also have ChampVA. I have been going to Dr. Kristen Carr at Carolina Health Specialists for a couple years, she will do yearly test and set up mamo's but not sure about any deeper ob issues. The accept ChampVA but I do have a little to pay out of pocket. They bill me for the remainder.
Gail K. replied:
I'm from New York and worked in the health care so I know a lot of doctors I finally found a GYN here that I love Dr. Milan from Island Woman's Care 843-235-1222 you can call and see if they take your insurance I was really happy with her
Sandi L. replied:
I also recommend Dr. Milan.
Marissa C. replied:
Try Dr Lineback at http://conwaymedicalcenter.com/FindAPhysician/CPGPhysicianPractices/CPGConwayOBGYN.aspx it's right past carolina forrest he's great!
Ladies, your recommendations for an ob/gyn please and thank you!
Wanda S. replied:
I would suggest Christine Gerber but she moved from her practice and I have no idea where she is now located. I also have no idea why she moved.
Sherry Y. replied:
They're on the north end but totally worth the drive. Dr Tatiana Vu and Dr Monica Solomanhttp://grandedunesobgyn.com/
Lisa S. replied:
Magnolia up on 82 nd Ave. Dr Karen Markley. She's the best. I switched from Carolina ObGyn because the Dr bad mouthed another Dr. I loved Dr Markley from the first time I met her.
Kaylee P. replied:
Stay away from Carolina OB GYN. Had a bad experience that could have been avoided. I would recommend Dr.Lineback. he's righr by Conway hospital but 100% totally worth the drive. Never a wait to be seen. He delivered my baby girl in January and he will deliver my next one no matter where we are living!
Cloie W. replied:
Dr. Lisa Masselli at Carolina OBYN is the best. Caring, involved, concerned, and listens. I am so sorry if some one has had a bad experience, but as a cancer patient (clean) worry is your middle name. She truly has your best interest. Her staff is kind and knowledgeable. A+
Serious question. Who would you recommend as an OB/GYN for pregnancy? We had our first appointment for the pregnancy with Carolina OBGYN but after numerous warnings...
Monica L. replied:
Dr Christine Roberts is amazing and so is the staff... She made giving birth so relaxing and easy... She was there 24 7 for me even when I had silly questions bc it was my first baby...
Tami S. replied:
Honestly Carolina Ob is really good..u may have 1 or 2 Drs u may not like but u see multiple des/midwives throughout the whole thing and waccamaw is amazing. I loved Ann and Maureen the midwives and dr gerber try to get the midwives as much as possible!!
Christina P. replied:
I've been to both Carolina OB and Magnolia...I really regretted switching to Car. OB for my second son. They were impersonal, rude, and made several mistakes with appointments. They always rushed me. And I never met the Dr. or midwife that did my del ivery. So scary. If you do have to stay there Dr. Gerber was sweet and attentive. If it isn't too too far out of the way Magnolia was amazing. They rotate you through all of their Dr's so you are on a personal level and comfortable during the pregnancy and delivery. We were all on the same page, never had a bad experience. They were so great.
Nikki L. replied:
Dr Vu is a jerk..Told me my pregnancy had terminated itself, not to stress and sent me home.. Now 7 yrs later..i have a beautiful, healthy girl...Good thing i got a second opinion huh?! Smh..I have an always will recommend Carolina OBGYN.. Waccamaw is an EXCELLENT hospital to deliver at amd all hosp staff is very knowledgeable. Now...i have seen all Dr's at Carolina..and i, by far, would recommend you ALWAYS see Anne! The midwife! She is top notch.. she let me do my own birth plan,as natural as possible, never pressured, talked me through my delivery, SUPERB bedside manner.. and even rubbed my feet when i had a contraction. I have not met the other midwife but havr heard Excellent reviews about her.. Just give the midwifes a shot.. if ur still not happy then try Magnolia.. But try to get the midwives.
Amy L. replied:
Hands down: Dr. Golden at Magnolia
Lisa W. replied:
Magnolia OBGYN is the best option!
Zelda F. replied:

My OBGYN is amazing but she's associated with Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. If you want her info let me know
Shannon F. replied:
Dr Vu at Grand Dunes. I love her!!
Joi F. replied:
Dr. Vu.
Stephanie F. replied:
Dr. Vu always layed out my options for me and gave me all the facts up front. I think some people don't like her because she doesn't coddle you and try to sugar coat everything and that is exactly what I want in an obgyn.
Stephanie F. replied:
Dr. Baldrige is a pediatrician and that is who Parker has gone to since he was born, love him too, great doctor:)
Joshua K. replied:
Dr Vu. Hands down!
Stephanie F. replied:
Dr. Vu, Coastal Grand Obgyn..She is awesome!
Rachel C. replied:
We loved Carolina Obgyn with both babies. I think they are the only ones that use Waccamaw down here.
Kristi E. replied:
Dr. Vu pressures everyone into c-sections. I hear Carolina OB is terrible. Oh and definitely watch what they charge/overcharge you. Let me do some research tomorrow in the UHC provider directory and see what I can find for you. I delivered at Conway so that doesn't help.
April J. replied:
What doctor did she see? Dr. Binder is good and I love one of the midwives, Maureen at Carolina Ob/Gyn.
Sue S. replied:
Christine Roberts is only doing the GYN part now...no more babiesf
Meryl K. replied:
I adored Carolina OB with both of mine! And waccamaw hospital is a dream! Sometimes you wait a while for appointment times when you see the doctor rather than the midwife but other than that not a whole lot else I could find wrong with them.

Dr. Tisha Williams for a family doctor. Dr. Milan has been recommended to me for the other, but I haven't seen her yet. I've been warned to stay away from Carolina OBGYN though.
Tammy C. replied:
Carolina obgyn. All female drs. Can't praise Dr. Bender enough. She has done surgery on me and went to bat for me when I needed heart surgery and insurance wouldn't allow after a TIA. U will wait for her but SOOO worth it.
Sarah W. replied:
Grand Dunes ObGyn, near Grand Strand hospital... Two female doctors, and they're amazing:)
Jeff H. replied:
Dr Gangi if the best ob gyn in the area. Male, but he found my wife's cancer in 2 days. Went to doctors for several years and they all missed it.
