One of the best and I have had several all over town) I'll take info on an acupuncturist myself-been thinking of playing with that...love natural healing!
Prince J. replied:
Thanks Jill, I'm not from this area, could you give me their contact information? My Taiji teacher, Brian Wilson is an excellent acupuncturist (and his kungfu is really good), but he's out in the Bellevue area. I can provide his contact information: (615) 613-5486 Can you tell him that I referred you if you call him? I don't get anything from it-- I was his first kungfu student in Nashville-- he'll know that someone he actually treated/spent lots of time with referred you.

Does any one have any experience or recommendations for a physical therapist? I have used Star in the past and was very unhappy with them. I have a number of knee...
Sidney B. replied:
I just made an appointment with Cantrell Physical Therapy. After my experience with Star, I'm gun shy. But until I go there, I know Ally Fitness will take care of me, and after I get going with Cantrell Ally will work on those specific exercises with me as well.
Gina R. replied:
Life Care Centers of Americain Antioch has out patient Great therapist and amazing equipment
Tabitha S. replied:
Premier Orthopedics Phyical Therapy is located in Summit, and is very good
Nancy S. replied:
Tara Mitchell Mielnik, they are the best. Nick Cantrell has been in the Hermitage area for several years, he just added another location in MJ. They can help you out.
Caryn H. replied:
Went to STAR PT and felt the same way! I wanted to go to Baptist Sports Medicine but did not want the drive so I tried Premier Orthopedic and their Physical Therapy was great. They were on spot!!! Watching, redirecting and communicating with me and the doctor. If I were you, I'd see if your doctor was willing to consult with an MD from there, just for you to do your therapy there. That's how great I felt the PT staff was for me. They even offered print outs and home plan for me as well for moving foward. Best of luck to you.
Nick C. replied:
Thanks Nancy. I really appreciate the comments. Sidney, I really hope we meet your expectations with physical therapy and hope that we can gain your trust that we can help you. I really hate that you had a bad experience the last time. I really think you will have a better experience with us. We take a lot of pride in helping people and will be glad to talk with someone at Ally Fitness also to keep you on the right track. Please come find me when you come to therapy. Caryn, you are also welcome to come by any time too!
Sidney B. replied:
If you meet my expectations, Nick Cantrell, I'll introduce you to Allyson Moman Shumate, who is wonderful, and I'll recommend you to Dr. Michael Pagnani, who is the only person who I'd let touch my knees, after 17 years of having him work on my knees. He is, in my opinion, the man for knees. He was or is the team doctor for the Preds, among other sports related things. Dr. P sent me to Star, and I told him I wasn't going back. I'd love to be able to recommend another PT place for him to send patients, at least those on this side of town! Oh, and BTW, my expectations are not high, I expect my therapist to stay with me, see how I'm doing the exercise, encourage me, and when I finish that set, be there to tell me what to do next, so I don't have to go and FIND the therapist in the break room or visiting with someone else. I don't think that you need to bring folks in like you are filling a theater and then have people who are not therapists wandering around and seeing to 5 or 6 people at a time. And yes, I did tell Star when I left why I was leaving.
Beth W. replied:
I love Anne at Summit Bone & Joint. Now that I am done with PT, I feel like I have lost a friend.
