Any recommendations on where to get Builder's Risk Insurance..my contract requires it and NJM doesn't have it..said I need to go to a specialty broker/insurance

Pat, I used the Protector Insurance Agency, on Route 88 in Brick ~ when I rebuild after the storm ( before the lift) I paid about $500. My contractor wanted me to get it.

Our policy from Scottsdale Insurance through Rue for 1 year was $1,991.50. We did not need it for the whole year and are in the process of cancelling and asking for a partial refund.

Loyds of London are the underwriters of Builders Risk. I have Farmers & they were able to get it for me. You need the builders risk until the project is complete then it automatically rolls over into homeowners insurance. If you have any questions you can inbox me. Good luck.
