Do any of my friends know who the best endocrinologist (diabetes) in New Orleans would be?

I go to Dr. Alan Burshell@Ochsner. I really like him, but I'm not seeing him concerning diabetes. Usually takes a while to be able to get in to see any endocrinologist, so don't wait too long to call!

Randy Hornsby doesnt understand the medical profession has stated you dont have to be over weight to get Type II diabetes and its hereditary. Not to mention this is serious disease with major complications. Otherwise he wouldnt be cracking jokes.

There is a Dr. Andrews at Ochsner - my mom has gone to him for thyroid, but not sure about diabetes. He's on staff there - he is very good.

There are only a few in Mandeville/Covington and are usually booked but you can try. Dr. Harold Miller has practices in Hammond/Covington. He works with Dr. Wise/Dr. Tran. You could see if any openings.
