Ginger Bryant-Hutchunson at Glencoe Veterinary Hospital is amazing. Monday, my Doberman took a turn for the worst and she went to my house to help put him down since he couldn't get in the car. She also does home visits for annual check ups. She treats my pups like I do, my babies.

I have yet to find anyone I like in NSB/Edgewater so we go to Port Orange, on US1, Bayshore Animal Hospital.

DO NOT GO TO NEWMAN'S. If I hadn't taken my dog right over to Dr. Castro rather than follow what Newman's told me, she would be dead. Dr. Castro knew what was wrong with her almost immediately. Love Dr. Castro!!!

Newman vet in edgewater has been a great vet to me. I like they're caring staff a lot. The place saved me over a thousand dollars when they performed an emergency hysterectomy on my dog saving her life. Meanwhile my old vet Dr cox does the same kindve surgery on a regular basis but wouldn't rearrange the schedule,so he recommended a ridiculously expensive emergency clinic in ormond that started out at 3 k and haggled to 2200 . One phone call to the Newman clinic in edgewater and they said bring her right in and they would take care of my dog ASAP. I am truly thankful for the care they provided for my bestfriend.

Don't go to Newmans. They would have let my dog die bc they had no idea what was wrong with her. $1000 later $400 at Newmans) Dr. Castro took one feel of her belly and new what to do. She stayed very late on a Saturday to do emergency surgery. Thank God!!

Newman's is amazing and so compassionate. Next to pelican plaza. I realize everyone is gonna have their own stories both good and bad. However on several occasions they have been awesome. We found a small kitten 5 weeks old abandoned and maggot infested wounds. As a nurse I clean the wounds and flushed them but the kitten was extremely dehydrated and malnourished. So in the morning I took kitten to Newman's they did subcutaneous IV therapy and helped assist with wounds and because we were trying to save the kitten (not like we bought it) they were so compassionate and split the bill in half. Another instance our service dog was bit by a pitbull (not viciously but playing rough) She had a fractured joint and 2 puncture wounds. She was scared and traumatized. The vet came into the room and sat on the floor with her for over 30 mins to calm her down and gain her trust before ever trying to examine her. I do not know if many vets that would do that and spend the time. If they are closer Glencoe Veterinarian hospital is another one we have delt with, also Beachwood is good as well. Good luck.

Glencoe Dr. there is continuing the practice her dad started she is top drawer as is the assoc.. my neighbor took Bear her 13 yr old rott/mix he was having trouble getting up even though he has over the counter pills for that anyway Dr. Bryant ( Ginger ) has started a series of injections he is soo spry now comes over each day for "cookie" he is taking 2 or 3 times a week shots when my Elwood was alive they treated him

Dr.Castro said my 13 year old male neutered cat was a 4-5 year old female cat so I'd avoid her. Atlantic Animal Hospital in Port Orange was amazing when my cat had a ruptured urethra and needed surgery. Also, Freibergs Healing Paws in Ormond Beach is awesome!

Dr Kim was booked and could not take me until Thursday went to Dr Vanis and he was great I did like him, the girls in the back need a little work but the girl in the front was great and I will go back, I will just have to handle my own dog since she was rough and put Slater in panic mode, NO CANCER fatty tissue and he is going to be OK:) Thank You everyone for all your comments it really helped me picking a Vet is very important to me since I have had a vet down south for over 28 yrs it was hard to make this move.

I so understand we are new here and we have yet to chose a vet. I have visited several. Newman seemed nice but there is a lot of negative about them around here, a lot. Their kennel wasnt dirty but it was smelly ... Need to use something like Pine Sol of something ... Will have to use them to board as can find no other choice we can afford. I so miss our vet - world class - great vets and great help from kennel Mom to assistants. Dr Vanis seems to be popular but multi comments about his staff (except front lady) are a turn off ... For vet I am leaning toward Dr Cox .... AAHA accredited .... If I went somewhere where they handled my dog who is already a little "shy" with strangers badly it would not go well ... Someone would be getting an earfull!!! Hard part about moving changing vets and doctors for us!

Dr. McCartney at New Smyrna Vet Hospital near the airport has good prices on individual tubes of Advantage. Sometimes for several cats a tube for large dogs can be split up among them. Ask the vet for advice on dosages, though, because it's based on the pet's weight.

We love Dr. Harrison at Halifax Veterinary Center. She has been amazing. She has taken care of 9 of our dogs and been great with them all.

An elderly woman took my cat, she brought him to Dr.Castro. She said that my male neutered cat was a female about 2-3 years old, he’s almost 15. Personally, I wouldn’t bring any animal to her. We use Healing Paws in Ormond, Dr. Freiberg, it’s a drive but well worth it.

I have been using Dr Vanis for 19 years and my mother in law used him for many years before me. I have rescues and she raised dachshunds so many of our dogs have had Dr Vanis as their vet.

Dr. Vanis hands down! I have 3 rescue animals and 2 of them were so sick! He nursed then back to perfect health and didn’t cost an arm and a leg! He takes the time to talk to you and make sure you understand what he’s talking about. Love that extra time and care he gives!

Do not use Dr Vanis he poisoned my friends squirrels that she rescued and nursed back to health he put rat poison outside of his office and it killed her squirrel Valerie Christine which she lives right behind him

Angels at the End, she is wonderful! My mom used her. I couldn't get her quick enough last month when my dog passed but used All Gods Creatures for cremation, wonderful man with a huge heart. I had my fur baby back the next morning and she rests at home in a special spot.

I use Dr Cox in NSB as my get one past last year it was 300 for everything I had him Cremated and he was back to me in a Nice box in a few days

This is Dr. Rae. She is wonderful. She also does home visits/exams at a very reasonable price, and can do in-house euthanasia. She came to my house a couple of times to examine my 11 year old Great Dane before we helped her pass. Dr. Rae is gentle, compassionate, patient and calm, and my dogs loved her immediately. I'm so thankful to her and her husband for making a difficult time much easier. I also arranged Greenbriar to be here to transport my dog afterwards to their facility where I had her privately cremated. I've used them for both my danes cremations and was very happy with the service, cost and the wooden box their ashes are in. Dr. Deb from angels in the end was here one year ago today to help my best buddy Noah pass peacefully to the other side. He had been with me for 17 years. Her gentle approach to both my husband and I and Noah made one of the toughest times in both of our lives a whole lot easier. The Cremation which was my desire was done and I had his ashes the same day. She did not rush us, and it took place inside on the bed where he and I were lying as he peacefully passed in my arms. Unfortunately I have had to help more than my share go to the rainbow bridge because my home has always been filled with rescues with their share of issues, but I have never had such a beautiful experience at a time like that. Do not go to Edgewater Animal Clinic. I took my dog there for a emergency visit because my vet didn't have any appointments and she had a ear infection. They held her down and then said she needed a muzzle. She is not a aggressive dog. She was hurting and did not want to be held down. They told my daughter if she was going to get upset she would have to leave the room. I will continue to go to Newman's.

Ravenwood. Best vets & latest technology in the entire area. This is where all the other vets will send your pet when they need answers. Dr. Emerson & her staff are the most professional anywhere. They do not leave you hanging on the edge!!!

All Creature vet in Port Orange.

My daughters use All Creatures on Rte #1 and I like them but I use Halifax Veterinary on Dunlawton which is closer to me and had a groomer there. I like them but I think a little expensive and try to get me to do teeth cleaning and take my pet twice a year which I have never done.

I couldn't disagree more about Ravenwood. When our dog suffered from Pancreatitis, their doctors and staff cared for her like she was their own. To this day, we drive from the Flagler/Volusia County Line to Port Orange for the tremendous service this Animal hospital provides. Maybe you had a bad experience, but everybody has bad days. Maybe you were there for those.

Driftwood Vet on Mason ...Dr Gary the best office visit $40 sometimes nothing once established and very knowledgeable. GREAT with my dogs.
