Dr.Shannon Brigman!!! amazing!!!

I know that this is majorly out of your way, but my daughter has seen Dr Kirsten Crowley at providence at Vincent's since she was born. She is amazing. My daughter was born with an intestinal disease that is genetic, passed down from her fathers side and she has been so helpful.

My kids hVe always loved Dr Culver. He is so easy going and listens to a parents view and works with you and does not over medicate!

My children (22 and 14) had two of the doctors mentioned on this feed as their pediatricians, in the past. (Dr. Smart and Dr. Craft) both amazing!! I would also recommend Dr. Hillary Wells, she is with Kaiser, though.. (Not sure what your insurance is? ) Dr. Smart used to be at Kaiser and we started with her there, before she moved a few years ago. But, Dr. Wells has been so wonderful! She helped diagnose (what could have been) a life threatening heart condition in our son, at a routine physical! After several trips to Doernbecher and a surgery he is healthy today! She is the one who found it, just by being thorough. Hope you find someone. smile emoticon

Dr. Shannon Brigman! She is the very best around! And if your child needs to be seen immediately you can walk right in and be seen asap! Seriously, she's fantastic!

Love, love, love our pediatrician Dr. Koenig and also Dr. Harbor and Heimuller@pmc in Mac. They are traditional M.D.s but don't "write a script and send you on your way." That said Drs. Jessie and Jason are awesome!!! This is such a personal, tough decision. I think there are a lot of good options;)

I would recommend Dr Koenig. He has been an amazing dr for my kids for about 17 years. He is ready to take action when needed but not just throw medicine at something that he doesn't believes needs it. He listens to you as a parent and explains his reasons to you. And he works with the kids great (and I have several, and some that have had major health issues and mystifying ones sometimes)

Dr Koenig at pmc in Mac. He is amazing! He is a D.O. Physician and has a ton of experience and knowledge. He never over or under treats. When he walks in the treatment room it's as if he has all the time in the world for your child and stays long enoug h to be thorough and make you and your child feel comfortable with whatever situation it is. I wouldn't take my son anywhere else. We have been going there since he was born over 8 years ago.

Dr. Kristin Wallis at The Children's Clinic in Tualatin. They are AMAZING!! I am always able to get my boys in for same day appts when needed--and with their actual doctor, not some other doc in the clinic. And, because they are a pediatric clinic eve rything is tailored to the kids. They have pediatric specialists as well. Additionally, prior to finding Dr. Wallis my son had been dealing with asthma and bronchial issues...his old docs would keep prescribing steroids...and nothing would change or improve. After one visit with Dr. Wallis, we were able to get a plan of care and a regimen that did not involve steroids. My son hasn't had a flare up since; it's been over a year and a half!

Dr HEIMULLER at physicians medical center in McMinnville is amazing. We have been with him for 15+ yrs and he has been there thru some serious medical issues! He loves learning and teaching fun things to the kids. He is a wonderful man!! smile emoticon . Also Dr Anderson and the others there have been wonderful to us as well too. They take the Oregon Healthy Kids Insurance among many others too.

Cannot speak highly enough of Dr Brigman, she was a god send. Never have I felt so informed and cared for as I have with her...I wish there were more like her! Bonus that my girls absolutely LOVE going to see her, she is fun & compassionate, but most importantly knowledgeable and informative.

I have to go with Dr. LUCK at the children's clinic in tualatin. I have been taking my kids there for 19 years. He is amazing. We have seen others in his clinic on occasion and have liked them also.

I agree with Dr Heimuller at PMC McMinnville. All 3 of my girls see him and a hand full of there friends do too.

Dr konig is great at PMC too. He is also able to do chiropractic adjustments on the kids. My oldest daughter gets them from him and feels great, she plays a lot of sports. Dr.Konig even know what sports she plays and her numbers and positions. Great Dr.

I have four kids they all see Dr.Hiemuller. I love him has explains thing in detail and is wonderful with all my kids. My kids ask to see him when they get hurt or are sick.

Dr Kao is great! However, she is no longer on Sherwood. Her last day was Jan 9. I believe she went to Providence Tannasborne (sp?)

I would have to say Dr. Craft in Tualatin as well. My family has had him for almost 23 years now and he is great. He is a great family friend now and does an amazing job with older kids and babies. Couldn't ask for a better Doctor.

Gotta give another vote for Dr. Brigman. Only one of 4 pediatricians (including Dr. Smart in Tualatin unsure emoticon ) who actually recognized my daughter had a problem and took steps to get it fixed. We are now 2 months post neurosurgery and she is doing amazing. She will never see another pediatrician!!

Dr Culver & Dr Manka... Same office, Manka only available a couple days a week, but culver is awesome! Manka was my doctor when I was a child. Their nurse Lisa will always be available. Really an awesome office

We love Dr. Brigman!! She really takes the time with you and is very knowledgable. We really like Whittaker too.

I have used several peds here in town and no longer stayed in newberg. We drive to Sherwood providence. If you need anything done for example an xray you are sent upstairs and come back to your appt. Your child is treated if needed and then you can leave. Others have to send you to the hospital and you have to wait for a call. I personally prefer the personal touch that providence offers. Both of the pediatricians Dr.Kao and Dr. Sweeney are awesome! Just an fyi Dr.Kao was a neonatologist for 18 years before going into general practice. She really really knows her stuff

Karina, I went there too! My daughter goes there now. Dr. Palmer is the greatest but sadly he just retired last month. Thank you for this post because I am not sure where I want her to go now because of distance.

Another vote for Brigman! We've dealt with a range of rare adoption stuff that she has spent hours researching. And also had a baby in the NICU that she called personally to check on several times a day then would call me to see how I was holding up. Can't say enough good things about her. Whitacker is great too as we've seen him several times since they share a practice, but I just found Dr Brigman to be a bit more personable and more willing to be open to different parenting styles.

Not really close but worth the drive. Highly recommend Dr Michael Ericksen or Dr Margaret McCloskey at Sunset Pediatrics. St Vincent medical center.

I go to Providence Sherwood. Absolutely love Dr Sweeney. He listens to your concerns, doesn't rush you through, takes his time and is just fabulous. The other plus to going there is that's also where urgent care is so all your medical history they have access to if you need to be seen in urgent care. The staff are fabulous too.

Dr Mankas office is great. She was my doctor in my youth and now she's my kids doctor. She's not in the office that much anymore but Dr Culver is there most of the time. He's an amazing doctor to. And nurse Lisa is the very best there is.

Brigman is AMAZING. She just happened to be the on call when my daughter was born over 3 years ago and I immediately switched both my girl over to her. (We had recently lost Dr Foster, and were between Pediatricians.) It's just really hard to find healthcare professionals anymore that also have that special connection with their patients. She does. My girls love her! She is kind, and takes the time to make sure your needs are met, and questions are answered. I could go on and on raving about how amazing she is!

Not so local, but in lake oswego, Olsen Pediatrics is a great place. I went there from birth until 16, very good care!

My son grew up with Dr Whittaker. He chose to continued w/ Dr W as long as Dr would allow him! I appreciated his compassion and his treatment of my young son as a person in his own right. He would talk TO my son about his medical/health not only to me the parent. My boy was given to understand that his health was HIS concern not mine and he should take an active role.

Does Whittaker accept United health care?

In the next few months there is supposed to be a new pediatric clinic opening up in Newberg. I don't know if you're familiar with the Children's Clinic right by Meridian Park Hospital in Tualatin, but it's going to be sort of an extension of that. Pretty small though with only one or two doctor's from what I've heard. That being said, we go to Beaverton to Integrative Pediatrics because it's worth the drive in our opinion.

Both my girls have seen Dr. Whittaker since we moved to Newberg 8 years ago and we love him!!!!!

We did Not care for Whittaker!! Felt he was too old school, and haughty, he was greatest dr around so we switched to Dr B.,who is Awesome but since that is not an option, personally I would go w/ Myers!

My kids have Dr. Brigman in the same office as Whitaker. She's great too!

Check out PMC lots of great physicians there. My son sees Dr. Green not sure if she's taking more Ohp patients but there's other fantastic doctors there as well. I've always been happy with their staff

My kids go to PMC and we love the pediatrician they have! (Dr. Zamora) They've went there since my youngest was an infant.

I’ve never had a problem with Virginia Garcia clinic, always same day or next day appointments with very nice and caring doctors. That being said, they do have high turn over so if you are looking to have a long term consistent doctor it may be in your interest to call ohp and see who else you could go to that has a more permanent practice.

Dr. Luck is amazing. I think they start here in Newberg March 4. My oldest is almost 22 and started seeing him at birth. He saw my kids into their first year of college. We love him and I hear Dr. Smart is great too.

We have OHP Providence. Addys doctor is amazing but usually fully booked for same day apts. However I literally call and they will book her with any doctor in office if I need to get her in same day. They’re wonderful in her office, PMG Newberg second floor. Her actual doctor is also my doctor plus my OBGYN Tammy Rodgers.

Dr. Brigman is awesome! My son has her and is on OHP.

We drive up to Sherwood and go to the Providence Clinic. We love Dr. Tevatia. We switched from Dr. Whittaker's office. She was a better fit for our family. And they've always worked with our insurance and we have OHP as our secondary insurance.

Shelia Smith, family Nurse Practitioner, of Peoples Community Clinic is awesome! She is in the yellow building across from the Newberg pool and has evening and weekend hours until 8 pm. She's so down to earth and a really great provider. She takes OHP too

Dr Koenig and dr Heimuller at PMC in Mac are fantastic! Dr.koenig is my boys pediatrician & he really is the greatest imo!!

All 4 of my kids have had Dr. Whittaker, started taking my oldest daughter when he opened his practice, maybe 18 years ago. My oldest son is in the military and still sees him because he likes him so much. And when he is unavailable they see Dr. Brigman, who also is fantastic.

If you can somehow get in with Brigman, she's the one you want based on your preferences. Last I'd heard she was not accepting new patients. While I think Dr. Whitaker is a good doctor, I don't think you'll find him to be as open-minded.

We see dr Ericksen as well And totally worth the drive! We moved to yamhill recently and tried pmc at our daughters 12 mo checkup- we are Definitely sticking with Dr Ericksen

Our pediatric office is opening an office in Newberg and our pediatrician is going to be in practice there beginning in March! Her name is Dr Kari Smart and she is currently at the Children's Clinic in Tualatin.

I see Dr. Leah Olson at The Clover Clinic. She’s not specifically a pediatric Naturopathic doctor, but I know she has lots of success with pregnancies. I’m sure she sees the babies after they’re delivered.

Dr Brigman is amazing. Not sure if she's accepting more OHP patients currently. I'd really encourage you to notify them and tell them there are not enough local providers accepting new OHP patients if that is what is happening. They need to hear from you. When they here from providers it does nothing.

We have been using Dr. Whittaker and we like home.

I recommend Dr. Smart at the Children's Clinic! We have been seeing her for almost 3 years now! I'm not sure of her experience with internationally adopted children.

We have been going to the Providence office in Sherwood for over 6 years now. Our doctor left and we started seeing Dr. Anna Meyers. She is so great with our girls and we absolutely love her!

I've worked with Dr Smart on a professional level and have been taking my kids to her for the past 7 years. I can't recommend her enough!
