Iso on a good dermatologist in the newport news area!
Steph S. replied:
The Pariser group is a good one.

Or if it's just something odd on your skin that you want checked out, but don't have a lot of time to go to a doctor's office, there's also Intelederm.com. All you need is a smartphone and a paypal account. It's like having a dermatologist in your pocket.
I can look up the lady's name at VA Dermatology... I called in almost tears because of my frustration... they are only on the Peninsula 2 days a week and they fit me in for that afternoon... amazing! Her name is Lori Conza:)

Well, we use Pariser derm a lot at work, but I've heard good and bad. Oyster pt derm is great, but hard to get in to. I saw pa Tim Jackson in Hampton and really liked him.
Janet J. replied:
I saw Dr. Chang (at Pariser Dermatology in Oyster Pt.) this spring when I I had to have a skin cancer removed. He did a fantastic job, & I saw only great care for patients at that office.
Debbie J. replied:
Dr. Mackels office is great! Oyster Point Dermatology!
Brenda W. replied:
Dr Susan Mackel's office on Thimble Shoals. Her team is fabulous.
Sarah P. replied:
Susan Mackel at Oyster Point Dermatology is amazing!! Been seeing her for 18 years and she's done wonders for me! She's retiring in the Spring but would recommend anyone in her office.
Lisa W. replied:

Dr Leslie Coker. Her PA is awesome. I see him. His name is Matt.

Val D. replied:
Amanda and Dr. Mauro at Pariser are great!
Denise D. replied:
I have a history of Skin Cancer and I go to Dr Corvette. She absolutely is rude, to the point, and has no bedside manner, like folks mentioned here, BUT she is super smart and super aggressive which is what I want for my situation. I've been to several Doctors in the past in the Wmsbg area and when I hear, "let's just watch it and see what it does", I run! Dr. Corvette has saved me several times by being proactive and finding/removing Basal Cell & Melanoma. My daughter goes to the Licensed Aesthetician too and loves her! I would only allow someone licensed to touch her face. She does need a separate kind of appointment but I would expect so since biopsies and eyebrow waxes are polar opposite needs. If you're looking for polite and kind, I'll be honest, Corvette is the wrong choice. But if you're looking for precise and effective, I highly recommend her.
Virginia S. replied:
Dr. Amanda Waggoner or Dr. Mauro at Praiser Dermatology.
Darlene J. replied:
Dr. Guarneri at McLaws Circle is the best. Serious and extremely knowledgeable and proactive. Scars are amazing. But honestly most doctors will charge $50 for cancellations without 24 hrs notice unless you're hospitalized. Yet they can cancel on you for emergencies.
Sue I. replied:
Dr. Pamela Cornelius at McLaws Circle. Referral required from primary care doctor. I would never return to Dr. Corvette. I'm not interested in elective beauty treatments and make up. I want a doctor that specializes in primarily medical issues.
Donna A. replied:
I've had very good luck with Dr. Corvette. She's never been unpleasant even once.
Pam N. replied:
I love Amanda Waggoner at Pariser
Jana S. replied:
Dr DeHart at Pariser. I also like Amanda Waggoner. She's a PA.
I know I asked this before but I cant find the post and I dont remember who it was that told me...BUT...I need a dermatologist that specializes in African American skin...
