I would highly recommend seeing an orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeon instead of a podiatrist. Dr Maloof in Hampton is a great option.

I had it done in Northern Virginia by a orthopedic surgeon who specializes in feet his name is Christopher Highfill in Manassas,Va Are used to work with them in the surgeries in there and he's wonderful highly recommend Christopher Highfill good luck
