Are you set on an OB, or are you open to a midwife? I do not have any to recommend specifically, but I have several friends who have used them in the area and had very good experiences. One friend did give birth at the birthing center you would like to use. It sounds like you may be interested in that route.
Also, make sure your wife discusses her current doc's c-rate and birthing philosophy before running too fast. My OB and I discussed it and she told me has a good surgical reputation, so she gets more patients who are at higher risk of c-section funneled toward her (sometimes from midwives, etc.). This "artificially" raises her stats, and I gained a lot more from my discussion than just looking at statistics. She had no problem whatsoever with my desire for a natural birth (ended up being med-free), though I did have to use a hospital.
But if you and your OB don't see eye-to-eye, then certainly move on. Congratulations on the pregnancy, by the way! /r/babybumps is a great community!

I had a friend recommend me to the folks here: http://www.charlestoncornea.com/ I haven't followed through with it yet, but him and his wife seemed to have great results from them. And he mentioned they did a masterful job even when she was a bit beyond the normal calculations for the standard procedure.

I know that Dr. Kerry Solomon is supposedly the man around here for Lasik, but unfortunately I haven't had mine done yet, so can't give any first person testimonial. That's definitely on my list though. When you get it done, will you post an update?

Dr Choi is really good but they all used to be at musc. They left at the same time. Not sure of what happened. They were participants in my musc women's health foundation. Great doctors. Hopefully I will have more details regarding that new practice coming soon!
