San O is the best housing I have ever had and the school was great when my kids went there. We were there for 8 years. And I miss it!

With his rank, number of kids and dogs, your best bet is either San Onofre or the new houses in Stuart Mesa 2. Both will have fences in backyards. If Wire Mountain III is desperate for people to fill houses they may ignore the fact that they're E4-E5. (Housing will do that occasionally)

With your hubby working in San Onofre, it would be best to live in San Onofre Housing. The houses for E6 are duplexes with a small yard. Elem. school is right in neighborhood. If you go on Lincoln's website: http://www.lincolnmilitary.com/lmh/installations/camp_pendleton/san_onofre_i/ you can look at floorplans. I would even call that area's housing office & ask about wait list times as well as which floorplans you would qualify for. We're headed back to CP this summer too, I can hardly wait to get back to all the great things this base & area have to offer families! Good luck!
