I've owned a BD since 2009. In fact, I've owned 2. I have never had any problem with the Kickback. You should get the "pad type thing" for it as another poster mentioned; it used to come with it. Originally it was a piece is felted material that adheded to it and then they switched to making it some super firm plastic? piece. It sounds like they don't want to sell to you...try clevercycles.com...I bet they won't give you the runaround.

Hi Jennifer Purcell, the item you received is called :"easy fit window". The items on Adam and Mike's photos is called:"easy fit carrier". They are two différents items, but the two can work. If you want to fix yours on the dummy deck, you will need an item called:"ebike adapter". http://www.bike-butler.nl/en/accessories-parts/9908-yepp-e-bike-adapter-8715362006295.html every yepp dealer can order it. It allows you to fix the easy fit window on large racks.
