Can anyone tell me the history of the Granary Restaurant? Is it closed?
Toni M. replied:
I worked there when I was 15... soo about 16 years ago as of this summer it will be. The manager was an a$$.. Steve Amaio or something. Sorry, but he was. The only 2 cooks I remember were Mike and... Carlos? He'd always make me chicken strips and fries while on shift. Yummy! It was a very beautiful place on the inside. You wouldn't think so by driving by though. Very busy during EAA!
Amy L. replied:
Clun Element is closed as well. So it is empty and for sale. saddened my heart to see the Granary closed.
Shirley M. replied:
Hopefully, the Riverwalk will encourage development on the south side of the river and the old Schmidt Milling Co. will have a new life.

Robert L. replied:
That would be Mike Wiatrowski, excuse the spelling, he and Tom Miller were the head cooks, Tom being Mr Big Cook Guy. I was the bar manager for 4 yrs. I really enjoyed that place from the archetecture (sp?) to the owners Steve and Terry, all of the staff was excellent to work with! I am very sad it had to close.

Kevin H. replied:
Here's another one I'm curious about, wondering if anyone has tried it. I've tried Java Factory's "Da Bomb" (pod form), which has double caffeine - but that is simply a basic robusta blend that isn't particularly good. I'd really like to find a high octane blend that also has the taste of a good arabica - dark roasted, of course. :) https://megatoncoffee.com/products/megaton-coffee-1 lb
