My parents are both vets, they recently moved to Maine but when we lived over there they took our pup to Pete n macs doggy daycare (think it's in Lenexa/Shawnee area.) The vet who bought my dad's clinic has raised prices dramatically, he's a great vet but super pricey though lol but Pete n macs is great, they are awesome with the dogs and take great care of them and the pups are always worn out after we took them. Definitely worth it

Dr. Marty Gilmore in Mill Creek animal hospital is an excellent vet. He is very articulate and explains exactly what is wrong with my dog, and always checks for any general potential problems and helps me avoid them. I really like that he treats the pet and not just the condition. He is in Lenexa I think. For daycare, I usually just use Rover.com and have some one come and check on my girl when needed. Much cheaper than daycare.

Mariposa Vet really helped my FIV+ cat that has a multitude of allergy issues. They try to use the least invasive methods and really understand immunocompromised cats.

Thank you all *so much* for the wonderful recommendations - Spot and I really appreciate it!!

I'd recommend the vets at Shawnee Family Pet Hospital. They are very kind and knowledgeable. Though honestly you're going to be happy with just about any vet. Those who go into that field are usually awesome people who genuinely love animals (because the pay isn't as great as you'd think).

I can't recommend Marketplace Animal hospital enough. Wonderful people. We had our two cats and dog there until we moved to KCMO. 13338 College Blvd.

There is a vet specifically for cats in Lenexa - 95 th Street and Pflumm area. I think it's called Cat Place?

We love Foxhill vet off of 435 and Roe. That’s more Leawood area? but not too bad to get to with the highway. Our two dogs and cat have always been treated well and prices always seem very reasonable.

I've taken my pets to Dr. Minor at Nall Hills Animal Hospital at 95 th & Nall for years and she's amazing. I wish she treated humans. Everyone at Nall Hills is great but Dr. Minor has been incredible with our pets for many years, including my extremely anxious dog.

Johnson County vets are going to be far more expensive than those you find driving 30 min south or west according to what I've heard from co-workers.

We use Vet Cohran & Vet Robinette for our Dog. BUT for the fees involved with Spay/Neuter...I used Steiner Sils Vet Clinic out of Ft Morgan for three barn cats. (we lose them,on occasion, to the wild life to spend too much money on the fixes)
