Thanks Maria Ryder you don't seem to realize that Lowes subcontracts to people like Settle Construction and other small businesses. The work I have had done has been done by local small businessmen who are very glad to have the work farmed out to them by Lowes. Lyle Settle is a very nice man and the local crew he brought to my house to remodel my kitchen all were permanent residents of Fluvanna County. Some of the guys who came out used to swim in the lake before the gates were up and one or two of them had never left the county as far as I could tell. That's okay. I won't chastise you for your lack of knowledge about these things. ..... Oh, by the way, the guy that installed my new entry way doors..... he also is a local guy that advertised his own business building decks. He had built our back screened porch for the previous owners years ago.

DAK Construction. Dennis Kidd built our screened porch and decks and did an excellent job. He put so many special features in the porch such as maghony tongue and groove flooring, tongue and grove ceiling, skylights, etc. During contstruction. every day we came home we were amazed of how everything looked, the clean up crew did a great job keeping the site neat and tidy as well.
