What type of animal are you trying to get to the Vet? Because if it's a bunny, I would only recommend Chadwell Animal Hospital in Abingdon. Dr. Gold is an excellent vet who specializes in rabbits. Also if it's a bunny, I can also recommend Falls Road Animal Hospital. I know they are a bit pricey, but they are very caring and will try their best for your pet.

We take our male shepherd to Parkville vet on Harford Rd. We had been going to Falls Rd for years but after the attitude the vet got when he growled at him and by the way he was only 3 months old and being double billed multiple times, we changed vet. Our boy does not let anyone touch him so he is a problem at the vets, but we muzzle him and my husband goes to hold him. They have been great with him.

Anyone know a vet that will take partial payment and work with you on payments? I have had an emergency happen and idk what to do
Stacy F. replied:
Try Academy on Belair or Erdman Animal Hospital on Erdman ave.
Shannon M. replied:
Erdman Animal has really good prices very affordable but they don't have appointments unless it's for getting them fixed or something. You just have to get there early and try to be the first one. That's what I do. But they are very reasonable you could go on their website and look up the prices

I go to Fullerton Animal Hospital and use my Care Credit for all my vet bills it’s a life saver

Heather N. replied:
Jim 'Carol' Juner the Hills food is way too high in carbs (15.7%) and not recommended here. We follow Dr. Hodgkins Tight Regulation and only recommend foods under 10%. To avoid confusion for our members I am going to remove your comment. In addition no dry food is permitted as it is all extrememly high in carbs. "Prescription dietʼ is an industry-coined term trademarked by Hill's and holds no legal meaning. In other words, these diets contain no ingredient that actually requires a prescription. The term 'prescription diet' is simply a clever marketing tool between Hillʼs and veterinarians. The sale of these diets is restricted (by Hillʼs, not by law) to veterinarians only. In return, Hillʼs enjoys a boost in perception of quality brought about by this professionʼs endorsement of their products. However, this perception of quality is undeserved and this incestuous relationship jeopardizes the integrity of the veterinary profession. There is nothing magical about the veterinarian-prescribed diabetes-management diets. In fact, several of them such as Hill's m/d and w/d (dry and canned), Purina DM dry, and Royal Canin DS (dry) are far too high in carbohydrates making them very inappropriate choices for all cats but especially diabetic patients. Purina DM canned is sufficiently low in carbohydrates (~7%) but it is expensive and it is predominantly liver which should not make up the bulk of a cat's diet. There is absolutely no reason to spend money on this product. In the wild, your cat would be eating a high protein, high-moisture, meat/organ-based diet, with a moderate level of fat and with only approximately 1-2 percent of her diet consisting of carbohydrates. The average dry food contains 35-50 percent carbohydrate calories. Some of the cheaper dry foods contain even higher levels. Source: (http://www.catinfo.org/?link=felinediabetes)

Dr. Hodgkins protocol has been around 10 years and we have an 86% success rate of getting cats into remission with proper diet, testing and dosing.
