Hey guys! I'm looking for an endocrinologist in Pensacola! Anyone know a good place to go?!
Jodi W. replied:
I just saw my Endo for the first time, took me three months to get in. However, Dr. Issa is wonderful and is super proactive in getting to the bottom of things. Thyroid issues are no joke, good luck!
Sarena H. replied:
Dr Mamish or Issa at Sacred Heart.
Sarena H. replied:
Dr Naran at Sacred Heart on Nine Mile 478-2333 or Dr Gahagan at Sacred Heart on Mobile Hwy 453-3281

I just got referred to Dr. Riche! Haven't seen him yet though!
MartyMindy L. replied:
I love Dr Riche. Been seeing him for years with all my endocrine/brain tumor problems. He has no bedside manner or humor - but he's seriously the best at what he does!! And he warms up to ya eventually! Lol. His staff is the bomb too.
Shonda H. replied:
I see Dr Riche at Baptist Hospital. Sometimes you don't need a referral...depends on your benefits plan & the particular Dr.'s requirements so just call your provider & ask some questions before you go thru the hassle of going to 2 dr's if you don't have to.

Emily L. replied:
i have seen Dr Mamish for a different thyroid issue. it took a while for an appt but he was very nice and listened to concerns.
Kathy M. replied:
Dr. Issa is my endo. Since 2001, done a good job and knew exactly when the thyroid needed to come out. He seems to be the ONLY one who knows enough to keep my meds correct. I take synthroid and cytomel . Every other Dr. I had gone to could not get me regulated .
Stephanie J. replied:
I've only seen Dr. Riche once but it was so horrible that I decided to stick with family medicine residency and get them to play around with my levels until I felt good, not just have my labs be within normal range. The normal range is quite large...Thankfully I am a nurse and have a great pcm so it works for me for now...
Cindy T. replied:
Dr. Riche in pensacola found tumors growing on my thyroid 4 years ago. I heard he was the best around but as stated in the other comments, he has no beside manner whatsoever, very rude and cut me short when I asked questions. After my thyroid remova...See More

Endocrinologist. Opinions please & how long you've been with him/her?
Rhonda M. replied:
I've been using Dr Issa for about 15 years....he is VERY busy and there is anywhere from a 1 to 2 month wait for an appt. He's worth it though. Dr Mameesh is also good. They are both at Sacred.
