Drive out to Dr. Lilliana Lucas if you want the best care. This is my yelp review: Dr. Lucas and her staff are incredible! We were referred to Dr. Lucas early on for a lip tie revision to help with nursing. She was knowledgeable, effecient, kind and the results were immediate. We ultimately chose to use a ped dentist closer to home for regular care...that wasn't our best decision. When our now 17 month old chipped/broke her 2 front teeth, the other dentist attempted to smooth the teeth twice with a file. All while my daughter squirmed and bucked in my lap. We are still nursing and it was incredibly painful due to the sharp edges of the broken teeth. The other dentist had said that aside from filing, nothing else could be done until she was 3 years old. Not wanting to have that dentist attempt to smooth the teeth for a third time, we called Dr. Lucas and scheduled an appointment there. Not only was she able to smooth the teeth out, she added some bonding material to protect the exposed dentin and we scheduled an appointment for next week to have the teeth bonded cosmetically; no sedation needed! Our other dentist had said that at age 3 we would need to use oral sedation and if that didn't work, use general anesthesia in order to make the teeth appear whole again. They were planning on crowning the teeth. Dr. Lucas explained that bonding is not only the option that she would choose for her own children, but it is much less costly and requires no sedation. One more thing: Dr. Lucas has a swaddle board that is much more effective. The young child is essentially swaddled to the board, rather than squirming and bucking in your lap. As you can imagine, this is much safer for this type of work. We have now decided that we will drive the 30-45 minutes out to the Lakeway area (we're in Pflugerville) for Dr. Lucas. She's certainly not local for us, but knowing that our daughter will get the best care is worth driving for.

Btw, kids dental smiles was the one that we had been going to. We were happy with them...until we needed more than routine care. I still think they're okay, but certainly not on par with Dr. Lucas

I have a special needs child and Dr Bain was not willing to talk, wanted to put my child into sedation at hospital costing almost $3000 and also misdiagnosed my child. I went to Lilliana lucas, she is far away but she was able to treat my child without sedation and in under 30 minutes and was able to calm a very irritated special needs toddler in less than $350 I would not recommend Dr Bain. I am a dentist myself, dont practice here so I am familiar when Someone misdiagnoses my child.

I went to kids dental smiles first and the surgical plan they gave me was completely different from two other dentist i had already been to, costing $4000... then got two others opinions and the cost dropped dramatically!!!

We love Dr. Kelsey Bookmeyer in RR. She's awesome and so patient with scared kids. We had a really bad experience somewhere else when my son was young and she made him feel safe.
When I chose I just knew we would end up buying a house in Round Rock. So we go to Round Rock pediatrics and see Dr. Kurz! He is awesome and great with the kids. We loved Pflugerville so much we bought in Pflugerville but will continue to go to the same place because we like it so much!

In Pflugerville I’ve heard good things about Dr Bain, but I’m originally from Austin and still take my kids to Sherwood Pediatric on the Mopac southbound service road between 2222 and Far West. He and his office have been spectacular with both of my kids, including when he extracted my baby’s natal tooth when she was just a month old.
Beth G. replied:
Both my kids see Dr Bain. Him and his staff are amazing!
Tiffany F. replied:
Signature smiles. I’ve been with them for about 4 years. I have 5 kiddos and sometimes I take them all on my own (dads at work) and it’s always such a pleasant and easy experience. The staff is great in person and so patient over the phone, the facility is always neat, organized, and clean. We have since moved to Hutto but I still take my kids here despite the distance because they are great.
Had anyone used Kids Dental Smiles in Stone Hill? We need a pediatric dentist that has experience, and works well with, children with oral sensory processing disorder.
Crystal F. replied:
I'm not too familiar with SPD but my children go to Bright Smiles Dental off Pecan in between Sonic & Little Cesar's. I was taking them to a so called preferred pediatric dentist by Lakeline. My daughter was traumatized after going to them. Bright Smiles was recommend to me so I figured I'd give them a try. Both children love it there! They were so very patient & worked in a way that made it fun & entertaining. My daughter hasn't had an issue going to the dentist ever since. Good luck to you.

I have been taking my son there since they only had the office in Cedar Park. Dr. G is great and all of the staff are awesome as well. I think we've been seeing them about 8 years now. I made the drive from Pville to CP, so was extactic when they opened the office here. Good luck! My son is 13 and I take my 2 year old now too.
Does anyone use Austin Children's Dentistry in RR? Or can you recommend a discount plan that a reputable local pediatric dentist takes? Was using Kids First but my...
