Dr. Dobias does consultations. http://peterdobias.com/pages/contact-us
The K9 Kidneys yahoo list and K9KidneyDiet list are amazing, wonderful resources, with lots of really experienced and knowledgeable people and they do have meal plans available that they can start with. There are raw proponents on those lists as well!
Debby M. replied:
I already sent them that information. They do not feed raw. They feed home cooked. And unfortunately, Dr Dobias has a long waiting list for a consultation. I am looking for somebody more credentialed than the one above. Also, she does nutritional consultation. She doesn't do anything medically related so I'm sure they would not be comfortable with that. I'm not comfortable with that. I have no personal experience with Cat Lane, but her website does look like the best of the bunch. I have also referred them to Beaver Animal Clinic and Mary Phoenix of Mother Earth herbs.

Hey, I'm a Biologist and Athletic trainer (though no longer an AT). I'm gonna save you a lot of money and say that diet > exercise. If your eats are good 85% of the time, then you will lose weight. I recommend carb cycling or a variant of it. For example: eat higher carb on days you have an intense workout and lower carbs on rest or active rest days. Incorporate more strength training into your routine rather than doing endless cardio and you'll start to see lean gains. Personally, I find that if I nix eating fruit, I don't crave sweet or carby things and will only eat them as a quick recovery pre or post workout. If possible try intermittent fasting a few times a week if you are new to it (14-18hr fasting period). Lastly, stop stressing out :) Elevated cortisol levels make you prone to holding onto weight. Hope that helps!

Hey, I'm a personal trainer and coach. I generally work online with clients through Fitocracy and my website. I've lost 200 lbs (I used to be ~410 lbs), through calorie/protein tracking, and weight lifting. Now I help others to do the same! Depending on what you are looking for, I have a few different options (1 on 1, group, etc). Let me know if you have any questions!
