I personally can not stand alberni vet. They definitely do not know chihuahuas and try to push unneeded shots and medication down ur throat. All three vets at pacific rim have been marvelous to my pet family. Dr Holly Dr Patty or Dr Cindy you can't go wrong with any of them and the front staff are very friendly and caring. Nanaimo emergency has great caring staff as well, but I've only used them on emergency basis.
