Best places to camp east of the mountains? We want warm, but not scorching, we need shade, beautiful views and most importantly water to swim in! Ok, go!

I grew up in the Grand Coulee Dam area. I know area well. There is Spring Canyon. Has camping area, swimming area, boat ramp, trees galore. Also, Steamboat Boat is great. I hear the trees have grown up (they were babies when I lived there). Light show on the Dam is good. Tons of stuff to do if you like the water (I do) .Also great for fishing. Also, this time of the year it is not sorching...not yet.

Lake Easton is great, nice campground, huge lake with a swimming area, and a lot of good hikes nearby. Canoes or kayaks allowed, no motor boats, so it's quiet.

More South than east, but warm with a good swimming lake and lots of shady trees, plus trails, is Millersylvania SP. Surprisingly nice and not as crowded as many. Not too far to Rainier either: http://www.parks.wa.gov/546/Millersylvania
I am a newly single mom looking to see if any resources for scholarships available to send my kids to summer camp ? Does anyone have any recommendations

Poulsbo Parks and Recreation has limited financial aid on some camps and programs. Customers in good account standing can also request to make payments. Call 360-779-9898 to have a financial aid packet sent to you. Visit secure.rec1.com/WA/poulsbo-parks-recreation/catalog to view programs.

We just did Lower quilcene river trail. Its easy to get to, some of the hike is along the river and even has some riverside campsites as well. Good starter hike. http://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/lower-big-quilcene-river

Wta.org is our go to for all our hikes. Always has recent user trail reports and is spot on with directions, campsites and difficulty levels.
