https://www.facebook.com/paula.cadiente - http://oregonpt.com/ Oregon Physical Therapy on 122 nd & Fremont is the BEST!!! I have gone there off and on for years now and the personal care is phenomenal. Leo is the main therapist and I can't say enough good things about him. You should be able to get in very soon, no waiting!

Gym recommendations in Beaverton? I have never joined a gym before. I would like to start working out but know nothing about joining a gym. It's a little intimidating....

Depends what you are looking for. Multiple locations? Family? Pools? Hot tub Spa? 24 hr Fitness gift certificate via Costco. About $12 a month prepaid a couple years. There is also http://www.thprd.org/ http://boomfitnesspdx.com/getting-started/ http://internationalfitness.com/locations/the-edge/

I used to work at THPRD. If you want a low-key, no-frills environment with other people who are just trying to get in shape, it's not a bad place. From what I remember it's pretty reasonably priced, but check to make sure that your local center has a decent gym, because from what I remember not all of them have one. Best of luck!

Bouldering is so fun and super easy to do alone or with groups. It might take a few trips before your hands stop shredding (depending on how well you can hold back before it happens) but after that you're good to go. Check out the Circuit gym in Tigard. They also have gyms in SW and NE. If you can climb a ladder you can boulder, and it's way more fun than any gym routine for a lot of us.

It's probably a bit pricier than planet fitness or w/e, but I really like [Five Rings](http://5 rjj.com/classes/Fitness-Classes#.WJWRQhsrKHs). I mostly do the BJJ stuff but the people who run the fitness program do a really great job.

I go to The Planet Fitness located in Murrayhill Marketplace. It's dirt cheap, open 24 hours a day, and has everything I need to get in quick work outs before work during the weekend.

I was perusing this sub Reddit because although I'm living in Seattle...I miss Beaverton/Hillsboro! To answer your question, without a doubt, VillaSport. Yes, it's expensive, but they have the best machines and staff that I've ever experienced. I was also in the best shape of my life whenever I worked out there. I want to move back, and that gym is a big part of it. PS after we toured the gym, I'd never seen my wife more excited about a place LOL Also, we paid $206/month for the family membership.

I did my spray tanning at Organic Bronze Bar. I would recommend doing a trial run first, so you can make sure you get the appropriate level and familiarize yourself with the process. I was really happy with my results!

1. Is there a fitness center in Waldport, if yes, what kind?
2. Where is the best place to...
Greg M. replied:

Julie B. replied:
There's also classes at the Waldport Community Center and Bayshore Beach club. Waldport Community Center is where Meal Site is done Mon/Wed/Fri, where Meals on Wheels is packed up. There's also South Lincoln Resources..and this time of year many hands make easier work for collecting and boxing up the Holiday food boxes for those that need it.

The Waldport Walkers meet every Monday and Thursday at Keady Wayside at 9:30 am to walk at one of the numerous trails between Newport and Yachats (or a little farther). All are welcome.

Planet Granite. It's a climbing gym, but has a full and very nice weight room. Tons of squat racks, floors designed for dropping weight and a decent free weight section. It's like 60 ish a month.
bringonthegore replied:
I go to Nelson's Nautilus in Milwaukie. I'm a female and do powerlifting, but I'm familiar with Oly lifts and I think everything you need is there. The weight room has a full set of bumper plates and it's never crowded. They have a power rack too. The only problem would be if you're really tall...the weight room is in the basement, so lower overhead and I could see an extemely tall person in an overhead press type position possibly having trouble with the height. Not sure on the cost, my work pays for my membership. Also not open 24 hours, but pretty good hours. They have a sweet pool, hot tub and sauna too.
Larrythebaker replied:
24 hour on McLaughlin and Holgate has a platform and power rack with bumpers. It's downstairs with the cardio machines, away from the riffraff on the weight room floor upstairs. They had a couple of trainers there for years who were olympic competitors who trained there all the time, but they recently cleaned house. They just put in a crossfit style cage upstairs with 6 bars and a whole new set of bumpers. The place is huge with high ceilings, generally well kept and the people are chill (and few and far between) when I'm there in the early morning. Late mornings and afternoons it can be a bit of a zoo. I've not tried an evening in the 5 years since I've been a member.
If you can deal with a corporate gym they've got everything you could want or need for $41.99/month and they're open 24 hours. Lloyd is kind of claustrophobic and feel like an old office complex.
