Hi all. Does anyone have some recommendations for winter tyre purchases? The car dealer seems a bit expensive. Also, do 'part worn' tyre deals exist in Prague? Thanks

The place I use - all they do is tyres & wheels + for a fee they also will store your Summer tyres > http://www.pneu-novak.cz/

AAA Auto is a significant fraction of the Czech Republic used car market. With any used car salesman, watch what you buy, and there will be complaints. On the other hand, as the largest used car salesman in the country, it does get watched a little closer than most others. I'd call it a wash. Many people will recommend you not buy a used car in this country at all. But, the price is always negotiable. You do have to be willing to walk away from a deal, though.

We bought from Auto Eso in Cerny Most and are happy with our Skoda Octavia which was 9 years old when we bought it 2 years ago and we did negotiate a bit lower price. They were also very nice to deal with. They give you a year guarantee that if you don't like it you can bring it back and trade for something else.--though I don't know how that works out.
Does anyone know any good, trust-worthy second-hand car dealers? I'm looking to sell my car and am curious about any positive experiences, or are they all shysters?...
