Disch Taven in Pembroke, It is the owner of the Fairview in Marshfield. Nice and maybe a different new environment. It just opened. You need reservation though. Have a nice time Margie.
Where is the best Indian restaurant on the South Shore? I've never really had it but when my daughter studied abroad in England, she said they had the best Indian food...

I am not a fan of Indian food .. but in Quincy, the Punjab Cafe is really good. Friends & family like going there. Fresh food & good atmosphere too. They're on the Southern Artery on the right heading toward the point. For those that are not big on Indian food, Most have a dish called Tandori Chicken, not a lot of spices & delicious.

Michael Rayne! I remember driving to UMass Boston with you! Sorry for the horrible driving:)

Punjab is good and many dishes are not spicy, tandoori style is like bbq, and there are great rices dishes, any great breads like naan, and vegetable samosas are delish! Indian Delight is great too!!

Punjab cafe on Southern Artery near the new CVS was the first Indian restaurant in Quincy. They are a family owned kitchen with Dad, Mom, son and daughter working. Chicken Korma for the meat eat5 ers and Malai Kofta for the vegetarians. Try the stuffed Nan. Peshawary Nan is baked with cocoanut and honey and nuts. Unbelievable fresh out of the oven.
Steven A. replied:
The Peshawary Nan is a bread that eats like a dessert
