Does anyone know of a vet that is reasonable in prices ? the dog got a broken jaw during a break in.the young mother of 1 was quoted $ 7000.00 . just trying to help...

Vets prey on our emotions. There's nothing More Terrible Than having to put your pet/friend/family member to sleep knowing he/she doesn't have to be Just Because You can't Afford To Get Raped By The Vet.
Tim C. replied:
Angel Memorial isn't much better. $300. just to walk in the door. Cost us $300. to get the cat a suppository.
Donna B. replied:
Abington Animal Hospital is very good and reasonably priced.

Tufts Veterinary hospital in Walpole Ma is great

Cheapest would be Abington animal or foxboro animal. Best would be Tufts or Cape Cod veterinary Specialists. Apply for Care Credit. No interest for six Months. Start go fund me.

Call Angell Animal Hospital. It's run by MSPCA. Maybe they can help. How about homeowners or renters insurance??
Contact Dr. Ron Buffman@Lloyd Animal Medical Center781-344-2500 for a consult.

Abington Animal hospital. Best around!!!
Maria M. replied:
Norton Animal hospital was very kind and helpful without pet.

That's horrible. I would try Angell Memorial in Boston. They work with people on prices. I've taken my pets before to North Main St vet clinic in Brockton but not sure if they do that surgery.
Emy L. replied:
Chase veterinarian in middleboro my dog just had a torn ACL and meniscus tear was referred to a Cape Cod veterinarian at a cost of four to $6000 for surgery Chase veterinarian in middleboro did same surgery for $1100 just got staples taken out yesterday she's doing well
Michelle D. replied:
One of our dogs had ACL surgery at Lakeville Animal Hospital. The surgeon they use rotates between different hospitals not a regular on staff there. Surgery was almost $2000 less than New England Animal Medical Hospital. They have a waiting list but broken jaw might be more of a priority. Good luck to the poor pup! I hope they catch the bastard

For the last time..Angel Memorial is a Crock of Shit. 300 just to walk through the door. That's what it cost us for a suppository for our cat. We didn't have any money to buy food to eat for 2 weeks but they got paid...upfront like they requested.
There is a place that I saw in Weymouth across from the Roberts VNA called something like The Odd Pet Vet. Right near the Braintree line. http://www.patriotledger.com/.../New-Home-for-Odd-Pet-Vet
Stephen L. replied:
I've taken a chicken to Pembroke Animal Hospital. Call them, they might.
Michelle M. replied:
Thanks everyone, I came to figure out that all exotic bird vets are closed on Mondays:( Roberts VNA hospital in Weymouth was nice enough to see our Budgie. Kevin has a broken wing but will be as good as new in about 6 weeks.
Fairly new here and I'm looking for a GOOD vet for my cat. Suggestions?!

Michelle Politano at VCA

I was using neoponset but I wasn't happy with them so I switched to VCA and am so much happier! I highly recommend Dr. Melissa Miele. My dog tore her acl recently and was diagnosed with cancer. I wouldn't want to bring her any where else.
Lisa A. replied:
Hancock Animal Hosp. Dr. Wember is the greatest. Their fees are reasonable and Dr Wember never pushes you in to things
Sue R. replied:
Emerson Animal Clinic in Dorchester near Yale electric, they are amazing... Had very bad experiences at VCA
Brenda V. replied:
Quarry Hill in Braintree is great. Only place my friend will take her dogs to.
Amy W. replied:
I love Hancock Vet... Take both my boys (cats) to them... They are wonderful.. And try to do every option in reason of payment to get a diagnosis.. Not "..WELL.. we have to run every load of tests to find out and it'll cost you 5,000 and if you don't ..then can't help you and your pet could die!" They really don't do anything unless it's absolute needed and they are really compassionate! Dr. Wember...awesome!!!
