The ReUse Warehouse, http://www.thereusewarehouse.com has a huge selection of reclaimed building materials, decent prices. Is in Durham. Revival Antiques, Warehouse, http://www.revival-antiques.com/warehouse/ also has some doors/windows but more furniture. This place is pricey but right out of downtown on capital blvd. There is also a couple other antique type stores within the same warehouse.

Durham Rescue Mission Bargain Center at Brier Creek is great. For Cary, the Dorcas thrift store is good. I second the other commenter's suggestion about the flea market at the fairgrounds, too. If you ever get out to Durham, the Scrap Exchange has tons of stuff for art projects. Good luck!
