Oak City Cycling Project, hands down. Disclaimer: Because everyone is at home, and the weather has been great, people are pulling their bikes out of storage so a lot of shops are 2 - 4 weeks out for service depending on what you need done. You can all check out All Star. They have a few locations in the area. Cycle Logic is a solid option too. But I would go to Oak City first. They have always been upstanding, and know their shit.

I've been happy with bicycle chain, both apex and route 70 locations. Apex location in particular really saw things through when I had problems with one of those nuvinci infinity hubs... I was happy with oak city as well... maybe a bit pricier than I would of liked... but quality work for sure.

Not firsthand, but my neighbors are raving about this independent bike repair guy: > Thanks to those of you who recommended your favorite bike mechanic to service my bike. I responded to John Valadares 919-696-5342 who offered his services. He picked up the bike yesterday and returned it today looking brand new! He made all the necessary repairs keeping within his quote, took before and after pictures every step of the way and delivered a great bike. He is passionate about his work and I highly recommend him. Plus, he will pick up and deliver!! Who does that? You’ll be happy with John.

https://www.facebook.com/BanditsRoostCycles/ This guy has years of wrenching experience locally in one of the bike shops already mentioned. He works on bikes for several of the fastest riders in town. He's always done great, fair priced work for me. Definitely a way better experience than taking it to a shop, where even if the mechanic is great, they have to deal with store directives and guidelines to try and make the shop as much money as possible off your service.

Christian at The Bicycle Chain on Glenwood does great work.

I go to Bicycle Chain but the Oak City Cycling Project guys are great folks too. I initially went to Cycle Logic when I moved here and other than the owner, they were kinda jerks the couple times I went.

James - 2013 Trek Lexa SLX 52 cm . Asking $850 locally. Have had several people express interest, then it fizzles out. I just bought it last September, but I wasn't properly measured (I've since purchased a new bike).
