Which is your favorite car wash to go to? I prefer one where you can use vacuum yourself so I can clean out Cheerios in car seats and take my time. TIA
Amy L. replied:
I prefer to use Michael Blalock469-569-7396. His price is extremely reasonable and he comes to you. All you have to do is supply the water.

Waterless car wash for ceramic coated car Are there any good recommendations for waterless car wash sprays for coated cars?
I believe I read that you don’t want to...

Ultima waterless wash or Wolfgang both have waterless dilutions and are safe for ceramic coated cars.

Am my shop we use Optimum No Rinse (ONR for short). All you do is pre rinse the car to get lose contaminants off like lose dirt and such and the it will be 1 cap of ONR to each gallon of water. You will wash it like normal and just dry it, you don’t even need to do an after rinse. You can find it on detailedimage.com
ISO a great car wash. Our family wagon has gotten pretty gross and needs a deep shampoo cleaning.
Recommendations?

Car Spa on Coit and Frankford is good. Ace Hardware has coupons at the checkout. Not sure if they are for interior though.

We always go to Rubber Ducky. Gave Big Lou a try recently and they didn't do as good of a job and were more expensive. (I get the basic package at Rubber Ducky.)
Eric R. replied:
It seems Rubber Ducky has gotten worse over the last year. I would take my truck there religiously and give referrals constantly but now I feel they take less pride in their general services. If I'm going to sit and wait for 30 minutes to 1 hour I would want it to be worth it
Laura L. replied:
If we need serious cleaning we do Car Spa. They do a very thorough job and are my favorite.
Christopher R. replied:
Rubber Ducky did a good job cleaning though I'd say they were heavy handed with the Armor All. They did however goof on the service. I left the car for an interior shampoo but they did an interior detail. They realized the goof and did the shampoo as well. The price was reasonable for the service. Leaving the car there four hours was a bit inconvenient but I got back a clean fresh smelling car.

Rubber Ducky the best!

Michael Blalock is the best and he will come to you! he will have it looking so good you won't believe it was ever dirty!
Does anyone know of an unmanned quick drive through car wash in our area?
I'm aware of several that have people there and they wipe down your car afterwards and others...

Campbell and Jupiter has a great wash just behind the QT. You pull up and select what kind of wash you want and pay at machine. Arm lifts and you drive through. There is a kid there who guides you into wash and tapes down your back windshield wiper if needed ( you don't tip this guy at all) then you go through wash. You can turn right and leave or turn left and use the free vacuums. I go here once a week as it really does a great job of washing the car. It looks just as good coming out here as it does at a $20 place. You can buy a monthly card for unlimited washes here BTW too.
