All 3 of my children see Dr. Roman at pediatric healthcare alliance. Office is right here in Fishhawk and they also have after hours so you can avoid an urgent care or emergency visit.

Bevis Elementary has amazing administration and faculty! We love them. It is such a blessing to live here and ride our bikes and walk our kids to school every day. I wouldn't trade that. Very very happy we are zoned for our school. Highly recommend it. Premier Care Peds. Dr. Frank Fabbiano for Chiropractic if you need it! The sports programs at the FishHawk Youth Complex are great. They will have tons of options year round. She may find many others she enjoys as much as soccer. One of the many other blessings of Florida living is the kiddos year round ability to play sports! There is a great Lacrosse program for Bo's and girls! Fish Hawk Coyotes! Quite complimentary to soccer.

Dr. Minick might just be one of the nicest people I have ever met. He's super smart, no edge, a total kid whisperer and just overall the kind of person you walk out thinking the world is better because he's in it. My eleven year old daughter begs to s ee him too but we don't often get the opportunity because we see Pruitt who is equally as adorable and kind. I'm glad you were already leaning towards the practice as they are pretty amazing. There are some other great ones but to me they are consistently the best. Busciglios for your kids dental needs. Academy of dance dynamics has fun summer camps and she's great with kids. Not very expensive either. Drama kids International I absolutely recommend, Faith Clark, is prepared and talented and both my girls ( 11 and 7) LOVE it. Don't know what she's rolling out for the summer yet though. Bonnie Hedberg Karet always has a fun camp going on but if your kids are interested in that I would sign up fast. Best thing About the camps (besides Bonnie) is that the kids bring home awesome stuff and so you really feel like you get something out of it too! Score. There is a fairly new place to do gymnastics just down the street ( titanium) and they offer camps as well. For a primary doctor Dr. Noorani is Kind of every thing you would want in a doctor and a friend. Lived in the area for a long time and it took many years to find the perfect team. My dentist who I adored moved so I can't help you there.. Actually I need help with that..

Wow Kris I am taking notes from your post, I was looking for a lot of the references you provided! We see pediatric dentist Dr Abdoney and he is amazing! He's on Bloomindale right off Lithia Pinecrest and my daughter loves going. The only downfall is that the are out of network for most insurance providers but worth it because my kids are comfortable there.

My kids see both Dr. Pruitt & Dr. Minick (girls wanted a female doctor and the boys wanted a male). We love both of them. One of the best parts of their practice is that Dr. Pruitt lives in FishHawk and Dr. Minick nearby. I have had a couple of instances when they have met me at the office during non-business hours on things they could handle in the office. Another thing I love is that you always know that you are going to get one of them on call when the office is closed. They do not both go on vacation at the same time. Good luck with your decision!

Not sure about health plan, but we have really had a great experience with Dr. Richards-Rowley, with Kids First Pediatrics. Never a long wait, always time to answer any questions you may have, very compassionate. Diagnosed our son instantly when others had misdiagnosed...can't say enough good about her.

We have been with Nadal Pediatrics for the better part of 12 years. I have tried some of the other practices listed above due to insurance, but returned to Dr. Nadal. He has an office on Bloomingdale.

If you're willing to try a family physician I highly recommend Dr. Lindsay Wiles. She is so good with teens. My boys even really like her! She practices at Riverview Family Medical. Good luck with your search.

He is so caring and he works with you for your needs, doesn't force things in you. We tried others because he didn't take our insurance, I ended up paying cash and switching insurance to have him back as the kids doctor.

Dr. Minick with Premier Care Pediatrics. My daughter loves him and asks to go see him for any little boo-boo. Dr. Tappan is who we first saw, but the office staff was awful and I hated going there. Also, as someone mentioned, we never saw him for a sick appointment because he is so busy. He is great though.

Chucks Health foods on 60 and kings has plenty of all natural and homeopathic cold formulas that have no nasty ingredients. Robitussin and the like are filled with artificial flavors, colors, corn syrup, you name it.

We also use Zarbees. You can get it at Walgreens. We just over the sickness here. Took my 3-year olds to our pediatrician and she said that the rash is part of the virus. Both kids had the rash and it was gone in a couple days. We don't give our kids any medicine with any dyes, alcohol, etc. We have been very happy with the Zarbees line of products. You should also try The Honest Company's version of Vicks vapor rub. Can't think of the name of it but go to www.honest.com and you'll see it. They may carry that at target. Try some lotion for the rash if you don't want to give Benadryl. We use Arbonne because I'm a consultant but there are other good lotions out there without any toxins in them. Pm me if you want anymore info on that.

i have been to the walk in clinic several times. I have mixed reviews. but I know others that go all the time and have 100% perfect treatment. I have started going to Centra Care next to the Super Target. They are FANTASTIC. Its part of Florida Hospital. You can go online and make appointments. I know you don't want to prolong things, but my personal thoughts is I would take him either there now or Pediatric After Care tonight at 5 pm. This is not something to play around with. He might have a secondary infection and not an allergic reaction. However I am not a doctor just a mom. But my gut says get another look.

I vote Dr Carr for kids, she is straightforward and to the point. She won't do anything unnecessary, I have 4 children and have been with her for years. My youngest daughter accidentally broke her two front teeth and she let us in after hours to fix her teeth ASAP. They stayed until 8 or 9 pm reconstructing her teeth. Never found anyone better.

We like Dr. Sipp in Brandon. He has a very peaceful office for adults and kids.

Dr. Bruck on Kings/Lumsden in Brandon and Abdoney Pediatric Dentist on Bloomingdale just off Lithia.

We loved Dr. Carr but have also heard many great things about Abdoney

Recently had to leave Abdoney for insurance reasons & it broke my heart. We started with Dr. Carr last month. I'm not as impressed and they don't allow parents back with the kids. If you have a two year old in thinking that might he an issue.

Janice Marie, you really can not beat Busciglio Smiles, but if you were to go somewhere else I would go to Abdoney.

Dr. Carr is fantastic, especially with younger kids! I would definitely recommend her.

I just don't understand the whole not letting parents go back with their children. When we take our kids to the pediatrician, we go back with our kids...no different. There's no way I'm not going back with my kid that is exactly why we also left Dr. Gonzalez's office. Dr. Carr may be great, but Abdoney let's you go back and on top of that they leave their door wide open and even better they are all wonderful there. Good luck in your decision.

I went back with my 2 yr old at Dr. Carr's and he even sat on my lap during the visit...

The best pedi doctor we have seen. Dr Orobello is best Pedi ENT in entire Tampabay area.

Dr. Tappan has been our doctor for 10 years! He has always taken great care in treating our kids through all kinds of illness.

My wife just corrected me. Our oldest son has seen him for 16+ years. He was one of Dr Tappan's first patients when Dr got out off residency.

That office is amazing. I had to take my daughter to an urgent care after hours. Tappans office called the next day to check on my daughter. I didn't even know they knew. They followed up when my son had to go to the ER. They are awesome!!

I have always been able to get in same day if needed. I may not be able to see dr Tappan, but always able to get in. The practice itself is filled with wonderful staff, but I just love Dr Tappan.

I take my baby there too. But she sees Dr Wallace. I think all the Dr's there are awesome.

I agree! Dr Pruitt is the best! Always takes time... The entire crew over there is amazing- waiting time- maybe 5 mins, time in the office- as long as you need!

Yes, the entire staff there is awesome, love the girls up front!!! I haven't met Dr Minick, but I'm sure he's top notch also.
