I see Dr Brongo at Westside Chiropractic. He is amazing. I don't believe they have acupuncture but they do have various treatment options. So easy to get a same day, or next day, appointment. http://westsidechirowellness.com/mobile/index.php

If he's still there, Dr Xui (sp? pronounced "schwee") He's an acupuncturist in the Dept of Anesthesia at Strong. He has an office at the hospital and one in Pittsford. I saw him for sciatica. He was great and it was covered by our insurance at the time.

Has anyone used acupuncture for relief of pain, injury? If you have, who do you recommend?

I love acupuncture. It worked for IT band issues, shin splints, heal pain, etc. I go to Rochester Community Acupunture in the Village Gate. They are awesome and charge on a sliding scale; $15-$40. Good luck!

My 14 year old has had similar issues. No definite diagnosis, but, we suspect various back issues are constraining nerves. Laser on back helps. We've also done acupuncture as part of overall integrative therapy. He's lost a lot muscle mass so he is doing water treadmill, and I've just started doing e-stim at home for his quads and hamstrings. I had him on prednisolone for 3 weeks, which helped but also affected muscle mass. So...I've tapered the dose down. He can't have NSAIDs so steroid was the only way to get inflammation down. Supplements like Golden Paste (turmeric) also helped when this first started a couple years ago.

My 14 year old lab has the same issues. We've been giving him tumeric supplement that seems to help him stand straighter. No help with the pooping. I'll ask the vet about accupuncture. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MTFZ8IN/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have a 14 year old with the same issues. We did the DNA test for DM and she came back clear. We started doing Lazer Therapy in December and it has made a difference. Would love it if there was a water treadmill here she could use.
