Your therapist should be able to refer you, or your primary. If not, check out the resources listed previously. Sending you love!

There's a COVID-related mental hotline: https://forward.ny.gov/protect-yourself-and-your-family-coronavirus-covid-19 > Call the COVID-19 Emotional Support Hotline at 1-844-863-9314 for mental health counseling. And this: https://omh.ny.gov/omhweb/disaster_resources/pandemic_influenza/ > NY Project Hope Emotional Support Helpline: 1-844-863-9314 The Emotional Support Line provides free and confidential support, helping callers experiencing increased anxiety due to the coronavirus emergency. https://nyprojecthope.org/ I have no experience with them, but they may be able to point you in the right direction for further treatment.

i found [Psychology Today](https://www.psychologytoday.com/us) to be very helpful in my search. there are a lot of filters to help find a suitable match. my primary care doctor also helped with meds. Best wishes to you.

Try the URMC Mental Health Center. I believe they accept medicaid. I don't think they're seeing patients in person now, it's all on video calls. EDIT: here's a link to help you get started if you're interested. Good luck and hope things get better for you. HUGS!! ☺️ https://www.urmc.rochester.edu/mental-health-wellness.aspx

Check out catholic family center in the building next to the transit center on Clinton. I go to therapy and get my meds there. DM me if you want a number or more info.

St. Joseph's Neighborhood Center on South Ave can help, or refer you to help. It will be affordable for you, or free. https://www.sjncenter.org/

Look into the PlushCare app, you can meet with a doc via telemedicine within the hour and get prescribed same day

I second using psychology today’s website. It has very specific search features. I had to book out about a month though in order to see who I wanted. I was okay to wait that long. If you aren’t, that’s okay too. There’s walk in clinics mharochester.org If you are feeling like hurting yourself (or actually mentally unstable/loss of motivation to live) I suggest strong hospital psychiatric ward. They are AMAZING and will have a team of professionals meet with you to help figure out your meds.

Don't know how far you are looking to go, but I used to see Dr Munsen (sp?) in penfield.

Have you checked HealthGrades or the Psychology Today listings? I have no idea how much to trust the doctor ratings on HG, but it's helpful to at least narrow down choices. You might also look for a psychiatric nurse practitioner -- they can prescribe and do medication management. The other day someone recommended Yolanda DeCamilia, 750-0745, to me.
pusheenicornucopia replied:
Also, I heard [Penfield Psychiatry](http://penfieldpsych.com) is good and they have an MD and NPs.

Dont go to brad landsman. Cheryl Tisler helped me through some horrible anxiety, and we just terminated. She even ordered blood tests to see if vitamins could help me. She's great!

I went to a guy on Alexander, I think his name was Seth Parker. I was too wrapped up in anxiety to fix anything with him but I think it was me more than him. Wherever you go I wish you all the success. Panic attacks and anxiety are so terrible.
