EZ Movers (based in Fairport) did all my local moves, and moved me to NJ. They were always fast, flexible, careful and reasonably priced. I used them four times in seven years -- and even had the same guy on the crew for three of the moves!

Sheridan Brothers went above and beyond for us. They took a desk apart to fit in one room and put our dining room table for us because it was too heavy for us to lift! Then they came back two day later and brought our new fridge in through a window! Amazing guys!

Do not call Beckers!! TERRIBLE! I have used Sheridan Brothers and they are excellent. Fast, go above and beyond, and very reasonable. The least expensive per hour. Good luck!

I've been a mover for 10 years and while all of these places are OK I would only use Bauer and sons. If you have a piano or a safe use a specialist company as they need special tools and equipment.

JD Schramm makes valid points. But your moving companies are as good as there crew and crews change for the good and for the bad. BBB I'd always a good start. Also check Monroe county's website for judgements and lawsuits. I'd check them all out and have them all give u a estimate. Meet the owner. I'd say smaller company is better. If you don't meet the owner on ur estimate I'd think twice about it.

NO Sheridan Brothers..they broke my king sized mattress and it was a fight to get them to pay for it...dispite having bought extra coverage! A word to the wise..if you purchase additional insurance from a mover..they must supply a copy of the policy!
