I (please) need recommendations for a great orthopedic doctor/surgeon within 40 miles or so from here. Anyone? Preferably 60 yrs old or under due to the constant...

Trenhaile, VanThiel at Rockford Orthopedic Associates on Roxbury. We deal with them all the time. We make their custom braces. We also work with Alexander, but I think he does mostly spinal/cervical.

Doctor Davenpdort in the rockford orthopedic center is good. I went to him when I pulled the tendons in my foot. Mom also liked him he is very kind.
Marygrace S. replied:
The orthopedic doctor we've been going to for years is Dr Theodore Suchy at St Alexis in Hoffman Estates. He has done knee surgeries on Kirk, Jennifer, and Patrick. Did surgery on my shoulder and casted my thumb. It's a little drive, but he's very good. I would never go to any in this Rockford area. I also heard a Dr Johnson in Beloit is pretty good.

If you are willing to travel my parents have both gone to one of the best in the country - Dr. Callaghan- at UIHC. They can tell you story after story about his amazing care with them! Prior to him some surgeon in Rockford screwed my mom's knee up pretty badly and Dr. Callaghan managed to piece her back together pretty well!
Christy L. replied:
Dr. Alexander did my husband's back surgery a few years ago.
Amy B. replied:
Awesome suggestions, friends. Thanks! Where is Dr Alexander from, Christy? Also...anyone have experience with hip surgeries?
Michelle M. replied:
Dr. Callaghan did my dad's two hip replacements.
Jane B. replied:
We loved Dr. Green when Matt had him 27 years ago! Don't know if he's still in town. He was young then, so would be in that "technology" time frame. So sorry you're still suffering!

Amy, our paralegal says Rockford Spine on McFarland road is great (Dr. Sliva is in his late 40's 50's); thinks there are several different orthopedic surgeons there who would each do different type of surgeries.
