I'm looking for a good orthopedic surgeon near Geneva, preferably one affiliated with Delnor. A decent bedside manner is a must!
Andrew Y. replied:

Jeanette M. replied:
Fox Valley Ortho - My husband has seen Dr. Petsche several times with a couple of major surgeries too. They have their own surgical center so not affiliated with Delnor but he only has great things to say about Dr. Petsche (and that's a pretty strong statement coming from my husband - Lol).
Karen F. replied:
Go to Midwest Ortho at Central DuPage not Delnor
Erica P. replied:
for spine related surgeries: Dr. John Andreshak. He is THE BEST. He has performed 3 spinal fusions on me in 7 years due to degenerative disc disease and I LOVE him. Feel free to message me for more info on him. His number is 630 246 5584 .

Ian T. replied:
I work in orthopedic sales...depends on what you require. Dr. Scott Sporer or Dr. Mark Schinsky for joints.
Ian T. replied:
Wendy, feel free to call me. I have worked with a majority of these doctors and have seen them in the OR. I know who is decent, and who is not, and I wouldn't want you to go to somebody that is great to speak with, but awful in the OR! 630-399-2645
Tracie N. replied:

Carla W. replied:
Fox Valley Orthopedics is great but it depends on what you need done as most of these specialize on a specific issue....ankle is different then shoulder.
Gretchen V. replied:
I would not recommend Fox Valley Orthopedic. Read my son’s X-ray wrong, HORRIBLE bedside manner, rude and disrespectful. I recommend going to a a practice associated with a bigger hospital, like CDH.
Denise E. replied:
Recommend FV Ortho for hands with Dr Torosian. Not happy with foot and ankle, my condition was prolonged and worse in their care, and each step they took further aggravated it and they were saying surgery next. Went to Midwest Ortho at Rush and life changing for the better. Midwest Ortho at Rush treats the Bulls and Sox - they are great.
Gretchen V. replied:
I had wrist surgery with Dr. Torosian years ago and it was great. But after my mom’s screwed up hip replacement and the screw up by the dr my son saw for a broken arm, I’ll never go back.
Kathy L. replied:
Fox Valley Orthopedics in Geneva.
Debbie C. replied:
Fox Valley Orthopedics for sure. Just had surgery there on Friday.

Denise K. replied:
Fox Valley Ortho for sure! Have seen Dr T for hand, Dr. Bartel for feet, and Dr. Morawski for hips. He also does knees, I believe. State of the art! Some procedures can be done at their on-site surgical facility. Also Delnor (now Northwestern) as well as St. Joe's in Elgin. I think even Sherman. Check with your insurance. Solid team of dedicated doctors. Outstanding staff as well. Good luck!
Jen E. replied:

Another fox valley ortho recommendation.... Dr Petsche is great!
Michael H. replied:
Dr. Saleem at Castle Ortho. Outstanding.

Looking for an Orthopedic Physician/Surgeon specializing in low back injury. Any recommendations?
Ryan G. replied:
Dr Kolavo at OAD Orthopedics.
Patti H. replied:
Dr. Mark Lorenz with Hinsdale Orthopedics. He did a spinal fusion on my husband several years ago. We visited one or two local doctors in this area and were not impressed. At the time, he had a neurosurgeon who assisted as well. Two experienced surgeons working together was very reassuring.
Joe L. replied:
Dr. Dmitry Ruban at Rush Copley in Aurora. He did a discectomy on my lower back that was a life-saver. http://www.rushcopley.com/rcmg/services/neurosurgery/
Ed J. replied:
I have two recommendations. Not sure which you would need. Dr Jeffery Grosskopf. He has treated my son for a broken leg and he just completed shoulder surgery on me. Couldn't be happier. The other on is Dr. John Brayton (a neurosurgeon). He literally saved my life. I went in for back pain and he found I had a huge neck issue.
Can anyone recommend a good orthopedic in the area?
Carol C. replied:
I just read that it's for scoliosis. Not Dr. Sterba then. He doesn't specialize on backs.
Pat E. replied:
Fox Valley Ortho isn't what it once was. No matter who you are get a 2 nd opinion. NW Ortho in Winfield has been great for my husband's knee replacement and diagnosing my foot issue. That being said I'm going to No Shore Ortho for foot surgery at NW in Chicago due to the complexity
Jack S. replied:
Castle Ortho in Aurora
Linda S. replied:
Fox Valley Ortho!!!

Wondering if anyone can help with a recommendation of a good orthopedic doctor at Fox Valley Orthopedic in Geneva. Thank you in advance.
Phyllis Z. replied:
I recently started seeing Dr. Mehta at Fox Valley Orthopedics in Geneva for my shoulder and I really liked him.
Lisa K. replied:
I am a PT and have treated many of their patients. I like most of them although some have better bedside manners than others. I really like Dr Mehta. He has an excellent bedside manner and is an excellent surgeon. I also really like Dr Sostak and his PA Alicia. They are both wonderful. Petrucci is a great surgeon but really cocky (but not as much with his patients as with a therapist). I have treated tons of his hips and knees and they all are very successful. I dont think he goes to Geneva though.
Regina W. replied:
Thank you all. I got a wonderful response. Seems like Dr. Mehta is the man of the day.
I tried to search for previous orthopedic surgeon recommendations in the area but couldn't locate much. A family member needs to have a knee reconstructed. Any help is...

Dr. Morawski replaced my husband's knees. Both replacements went well.
Denise K. replied:
Dr Morawski did my knee replacement on March 20. I would highly recommend him. He has 20 plus years of experience, yet he stays on top of all the new advancements. He just started using zip ties to close instead of staples. Who would if thought? Zip ties? He is amazing.
I really need a good caring spine doctor in the st charles, geneva, elgin area. Any suggestions with actual experience with the Dr. is what I need. Please exclude Fox...
Joe L. replied:
Dr Dmitry Ruban at Rush Copley in Aurora was great. Their whole office is professional and caring all the way. I had a discectomy and I'm a new person!
