Doctor Mark Hornbach 815 971 2000 he is very thorough doesn't let you have new shots until he is sure they are good and will work properly he explains things very well he has a good sense of humor but he is calm and very caring kind of a dry sense of humor but he's very caring all three of my kids went to him and he still sees Bethany, she is almost too old though, it will be a sad day when we have to stop seeing him

We go to Dr. Kendra Hall at Woodside! She is wonderful. She used to practice in Arizona, but has been here now for a few years. She is easier to get into than Renk or Geddes, I think. Her and her staff are SO nice, and she makes it a point to call me back personally if she has a minute! also, I think your friend Amy and I are neighbors... Moved down the street from us! Welcome to the neighborhood!

We used to see Dr. Renk. We really liked him! Change in our insurance forced us to switch doctors.

Dr. Davis is amazing! He has called my house at night (on more than one occasion) to check in after a visit to see if my kids were feeling any better! Love the personal touches he gives! Excellent rapport with the kiddos too!

Are you stricted to a certain medical group? I use Dr Lewinski and usually see her or Beth Christiansen...LOVE THEM BOTH! Of course they are Swedes. I know Cara uses Dr Hornbach as a pediatrician at RMH and loves him. If Dr Gander is still at OSF I'm quite a fan of him as well.

The kids and I see Dr. Guffey at Valley Clinic through Swedes. I LOVE her and so do the kids. She is helpful, kind, compassionate, and takes her time. She also has a NP (Ellen) who is just as great.

Dr. Patterson sucks!!! Jerry Beaty kids go to him and hes to damn old!!! I take my kids to Dr. Manzoor! Shes awesome! She's always ready to prescribe anything my kids need! No questions asked! Sometimes I can just call n the nurse will have a talk with the doctor and have it sent to Walgreens! Its thru OSF tho. Don't know if you like OSF but its the only ppl I trust! Gave up on Rockford Health Systems years ago!!!!

I go to Dr. Jane Taylor with Rmh. My son is special needs as well with a long history and she does amazing with him. Her office is in Roscoe.

Both my kids went to Dr Angela Rodriguez, she was amazing, she's with Rockford Health/ Mercy.. I believe she is still at the Milford /Spring creek location

In the Freeport area Dr. Rebecca Pederson is the very best you could ever ask for. She really listens to you.

Thank you guys so very much for all the suggestions. One of my kids had Dr. Hornbauch 16 years ago so I'm sure he will be retiring soon too. And thanks for the heads up on Dr. Baptist. I can't go through another one of these. My youngest, 6, has anxiety with change. It took almost 2 years before he wouldn't scream upon anyone new walking into the room. He trusts Dr. Hutt with all his heart, as do I. I wish this didn't have to happen but Dr. Hutt has been around a long time. I'm surprised how many of my personal friends had him growing up. My older kids father had him and he is 47. So it's time. He's has been fantastic but he deserves this rest too. Just wish it would have been 12 years down the road lol

I love my family pediatrician in Buffalo, she is so accommodating and amazing with my daughter. Her name is Natasha Hamann though the Allina Medical Clinic in Buffalo. Buffalo is only 15 min drive from Rockford and they have other clinics in surrounding cities. Just because someone does not have a good experience with a doctor it does not make the whole clinic or hospital bad.

I use Natasha Hamann also and agree with Nichol West.

Buffalo clinic or St Michael Albertville clinic both are good!

Dr. Phelan has been Sam's pediatrician from birth. I believe she also doctors the Bixby kids? Jennie Bixby? She's out of the Women's and Children's Clinic off Perryville.

Dr. Phelan is Sophie's dr too! We like her a lot. I have also heard really good things about Dr. Baptist.

We see Dr Geddes (Swedes). He is a great doc, and is flexible with immunizations if you are untraditional about that route.

Ok I should have said Thatcher sees him. After he was born, Ryan and I switched doctors to a family practice doc, Dr Tiffanie Ferry. We love her and she saw TJ too when he was here. But, I have no idea what her stance is on immunizations. But she is a family doctor and will see you and your kids.

Drs are human just like the rest of us. That's why you find one you trust Dr. Skurka is a wonderful Dr to my boys and was for my sisters and I growing up as well. Honest, straight to the point, knows his stuff! Lol (but not cocky.) He isn't afraid to get another opinion...

Dr. Skurka was the one that blew Jake's stomach pain off without any testing. Called it a pulled muscle and 12 hrs later he was in surgery for a ruptured appendix.

Dr. Natalie Drummond she is the best of the best. She is a homeopathy Dr, and she is the best. Her practice is called Whole Child Pediatrics

Ask your nurses. If you lives out this way we could all give you our suggestions, but since none of these Drs are near you it does not help. Like I said, ask the nurses at the hospital & meet with the ped first. Three reasons why I love my kids ped versus their previous one are; 1. The first dr was a family practice dr. He always made me feel rushed & unimportant. He didn't seem to REALLY care out my kids. I saw him for close to 3 years (looking back, I don't know why). Their current dr is a pediatrician. Which I actually prefer over a family practice dr (but that's just me). He remembers all of my boys by name. Even if I only go in with one boy, he will ask about the others. And he follows through on everything. And goes above and beyond for them all. 2) The first dr-it was just him and his receptionist. Their current dr has 4 nurses in his office who assist with shots (so they can give them all at once), and they can help with most of my questions. 3) Their first dr seemed to be somewhat hard to get a hold of. Only 8-5 basically. Their current dr gets a page sent straight to his phone if you call his office after hours and personally calls you back immediately (no matter what hour). These are just my opinion of what I like and would suggest looking for in a dr near you. Good luck!!!
