The FARE website on milk allergy states: "Individuals who are allergic to cow’s milk are often advised to also avoid milk from other domestic animals. For example, goat's milk protein is similar to cow's milk protein and may, therefore, cause a reaction in individuals who have a milk allergy." http://www.foodallergy.org/allergens/milk-allergy Food Allergy Research & Education www.foodallergy.org FARE works on behalf of the 15 million Americans with food allergies, including all those at risk for life-threatening anaphylaxis.

Anyone have a good Allergist in Rockville or Olney?
Susan T. replied:
I can tell you one to avoid - Family Allergy & Asthma Care in G'burg (Dr. Jacqueline Eghrari-Sabet). From experience - if you are going to embark on immunotherapy, choose wisely. It's nearly impossible to switch allergists later without starting over (re-testing, etc.).
Teresa F. replied:
Dr. Sabet. I think she has a couple of offices
Susan T. replied:
No personal issue with Dr. Sabet, but it's her practice. We've never actually seen her in going there for 8 years! We started with Dr. Siddiqi in that office because he was in Frederick one day a week. He abruptly left the practice, they closed the Frederick office, and now we have to go to the G'burg office for shots. Super inconvenient to have to go to G'burg after school and then come back up 270 in traffic. Since Siddiqi left, we've only see the nurse practitioners. There seems to be a big communication issue in the office. I had a question yesterday when I was in the office (for my 9-year old to get his allergy shots), and I was told to go to the patient portal on their website and send them an e-mail to ask the question. Seriously! We tried to switch to Dr. Jani in Frederick about a year ago, but he would have to have undergone re-testing and start the whole immunotherapy process over, so we're sticking it out.
Teresa F. replied:
That's awful. I've only seen Dr. Sabet on gburg. Definitely not convenient from Frederick but I work not far from her office. I suppose it depends on what you're going for also.
Laura N. replied:
Dr. Morris, Gaithersburg. Uses some homeopathic methods and spends more than 10 minutes with you.
