You don't say where you are, but I am in the U.S. and have had very good luck (great workmanship/nice materials/good fit) with the various 90% UV protective masks made by Nag Horse Ranch. http://www.naghorseranch.com
Best herp vet near Roseville that's not too expensive...recommendations appreciated
Linda H. replied:
It's Bird and Pet Clinic. I've never used them, but thought I'd put it out there, as I know they treat amphibians
Patty R. replied:
Bird and Pet Clinic in Roseville is a good place but VERY expensive.
Melissa A. replied:
Oh boy... ok. You're going to need to travel a bit to get to a vet capable of handling that. Babies that small are very delicate so you are right to not wait. Arbor Pet in Lodi. Dr. Turner Feel free to tell him that Melissa from Central Valley Turtle and Tortoise Rescue sent you.
Melissa A. replied:
Sorry I couldn't get you closer to Roseville but Dr Turner is knowledgeable and is very reasonably priced
Does anyone know how long cats are in heat for? Our cat is in heat I'm pretty sure... Also, can anyone recommend an affordable, local vet clinic to have her spayed?

Auburn has a REALLY cheap place females 6 mos and older and more than 4 lbs are $30!! Their website is www.animalspayneuter.com
Jennifer L. replied:
Placer SPCA also has a program where they will pay or the spay or neuter, but if the participating vet's office has any additional fees you may have to pay for those, but they are usually minimal. http://www.placerspca.org/snap.htm

Does anyone know of a good Veterinarian in the Roseville area...the one we are going to is diagnosing my dog with crazy things and I want a second opinion!
Lacey H. replied:
Yeah. I used to go to Loomis Basin when this place was closed for a couple of ER services and I feel like they shove meds at you for profit. Couple of times I went there and then when I went back to Dr. Groom at West Roseville she helped me so much more and got my cat the right meds. She really listens and doesn't do tests just cause. She tries to take the least costly most efficient way to figure out whats going on.
Carley H. replied:
Lauren, my mom works at West Roseville. They're awesome. Dr. White is amazing and you can request her.
Jordan M. replied:
Easily I would go to sunrise boulevard animal hospital. Dr. Fastiggi not only saved my dog when she nearly died but he only had us pay for her meds. She was in there for a week and her blood transfusion was free! Most people wouldn't have been able to save her or help us the way he did. He is amazing!! I only trust him with my pets.

Dr. Tamsen Taylor at Sunset Whitney Veterinary Hospital. It's on Pacific Street in Rocklin. It's a little bit past the post office.

Dr. Mary Smith at maysville animal clinic. She is great and very reasonable.
Shelly S. replied:
Mary Smith is awesome and very reasonable. She doesn't have an emergency vet line though and recently we had an issue at night. Brandywine and Muskingum Veterinarian Off the east pike are the only vets in town that do, and you have to be a client. I have been to both and they are more than twice as expensive as Mary.
Looking for a new reliable emergency vet hospital that has the lowest emergency fee in town and specialists in cardiology, ER, dermatology, and internal medicine...come...
