Does anyone happen to know of a pediatrician or GP that sees children that is non vax friendly or pro choice when it comes to vaccines AND accepts Medi-cal anthem blue...
Christi H. replied:
My doc is good but I'm not sure on the insurance thing. It's dr Lorne at pediatric medical associates. 924-9337 good luck
Dorothy F. replied:
I'm not sure if she is taking new patients but Dr. Beth Ward (916)262-9002 Sutter Peds We have same insurance
Chloe S. replied:
Sutter Pediatrics!
Chloe S. replied:
Yes! Dorothy Forrest posted same info with their phone number. Been with them for 13 years:) our secondary insurance is anthem blue cross medi-cal.
Ashley P. replied:
Chloe Simmons which doctor do u see bc were with Sutter now and having a tough time finding a dr that's non vax friendly.
Chloe S. replied:
Dr. Robert Farrell
Chloe S. replied:
Sutter Pediatrics on Stockton and Alhambra. I recommend them to everyone.
Holly H. replied:
Chloe Simmons - Do you know is Dr Farrell just non vax friendly or will he sign a vax exemption? Some docs are pro choice but still wont help you out with the vax issue by putting in their records an exemption.
Holly H. replied:
Following.....been looking for non vax friendly ped too. We are happy with Dr Kevin Trude(916-774-8500) who is with Sutter Medical Group at 3100 Douglas Blvd Roseville CA 95661. We have the same insurance as you but I would like to find a doc who is more on board with the whole pro choice thing. Dr Trude knows we don't vaccinate due to vaccine injury and he doesn't pressure us or anything but I really want a doc who will sign a vax exemption and he won't go that far.
Ashley P. replied:
Holly Henry so he's okay taking patients that are non vax? I wonder if he will take new non vax patients. Right now we see Dr Gill at the same Sutter office in Roseville so it would be so much easier to switch doctors there. Do you also have Medi-cal blue cross?
HELP PLEASE :'( My 21 year old autistic son needs his wisdom teeth pulled and has 2 cracked molars that also need to be removed. The ENTIRE dental/medical/insurance/...
Melissa N. replied:
George, we went to Dr Atcheson(office in Rancho Cordova area) (916) 362-9247 for my sons wisdom teeth and he was wonderful. We had met life dental so not sure about insurance. Hope you get it all worked out soon!
Jesana T. replied:
My son just had a molar pulled out because it broke. We used Sacramento Surgical Arts they do amazing work I also used them when I got my wisdom teeth pulled out. They do private pay only. If he is 21 Alta can help with dental if it’s on his IPP I just learned this with my son. Also Highland Oakland Hospital has a special needs dental clinic and takes Medical/Dentical with a 2-3 month wait
Sarah L. replied:
My daughter's dentist takes medi-cal and is located in Diamond Springs, near Placerville. He's fantastic! Dr. Goodis at Diamond Springs Dental Center530.344.0290. He works on difficult cases and loves helping ppl!
Anna H. replied:
If you have Delta Dental and want to drive to Woodland I would see Dr Choi who has privileges at Woodland Memorial Surgery Center and does his dental work there. I use him yearly for one big dental work on my son
Does anyone know of a good Internist or GP in Northern California...San Fran to Redding, say? I'd relocate to southern Oregon if there's a good doc there. I have tried...
Betty K. replied:
You can just make an appointment. It shouldn't take you very long to get in. His entire family is in health care. His wife Diane is his office manager/nurse (very nice). His son just opened dental practice upstairs a year ago. His daughter is a nurse at the hospital. Be sure to say I recommended him - makes me look good! He takes Medicare. Yes, what a shock, huh? (530) 926-6222.
Karen S. replied:
Betty Kreeger, an EI specialist is fne, but I don't think I need that on a regular basis. I need a good all-purpose doc. I am certain I need thyroid/hormone adjustment but cannot get a referral to an endocrinologist because my numbers are normal. North Bay would be great...I'm in Sacto for now, looking to get out of the city soon.
Karen S. replied:
Theresa Lent Nieman, I have heard good things about Klamath Falls as far as environmental issues. Have you had good luck with finding a good doc there?
Heidi U. replied:
Your best best would probably be someone who's board certified in environmental medicine, such as Dr. Shrader and Erica Elliott in Santa Fe. These people understand MCS/EI in a way most traditional western docs do not and they won't consider you a nut because they understand what's going on in your body. I don't know of a specific doctor in southern OR (tho you could Google). But I will say that just about all my MCS symptoms vanished when I lived there. I found it to be an extremely healthy environment.
Karen S. replied:
Santa Fe is a little far for me to drive to the doc. I had a great environmental doc in Honolulu, but he retired. I also had an excellent DO on Maui, Dr. B, but he closed his practice in favor of an admin job that would allow him to retire. I rarely saw my environmental doc other than for diagnosis, but I would just about give my right arm for another Dr. B. He'd handle all the basic stuff, and he'd listen...he just got it. I have gone off all the meds I was on and have not had a doctor I can trust for a couple of years. A naturopath would be great if they took Medicare...?? I'm not looking for meds, just someone to trust.
Betty K. replied:
Since EI doctors understand (or should understand) the importance of good thyroid/homone adjustments, as well as the fact that you don't have to fight with them, it might be good to start there and then go for a OB who understands MCS and is also good at her job later. The EI doctor I went to in Los Altos is Graeme Shaw, he partners with Dr. Guilford, Patel, Green (Lyme) and has added a psychiatrist to the staff (Dr. Rinker) since I was there.Address: 5050 El Camino Real Suite 110, Los Altos, CA 94022. If you are coming up to Mt. Shasta I can recommend my doctor. Although he technically is an ENT, he treats my MCS, thyroid, and hormone needs. He has worked closely with well-known Dr. Jonathan Wright in WA. He is also using some innovative therapy he learned from a doctor in Florida and is learning about ozone therapy from Dr. Rowen in Santa Rosa. His Name is L. Richard Shearer.
Karen S. replied:
Bless your heart, Betty Kreeger...thank you! My wonderful Dr.B had his wife for his office manager/nurse as well. I miss that caring atmosphere so much. Will call tomorrow. Thank you again!
Betty K. replied:
You are welcome. I think you will like Dr. Shearer. I'll message you my telephone number if you want to get in touch while you are here.

Now I need to find Kaiser doctors!
Melissa S. replied:
I see Dr. Riley at Sutter Roseville for OB. Dr. Cueto is in her practice and he delivered my son. Super nice as well. For peds, we see Dr. Ward at Sutter on Stockton Blvd and she is THE BEST!! For general care my hubs and I see Dr. Braid, she is a Mercy physician and she's on Madison Ave. Good luck!! I know how frustrating it can be.

We used to have Dr McCrimons on 51 st street
Idamay S. replied:
We use Gold River Family Medicine-male MD, female PA and have Alina at Babies-2-Teens pediatrics, female MD. Both are in Gold River by the Chevy's.
Jenny R. replied:
I concur with Idamay about Babies-2-Teens, Dr. Biag is a wonderful doctor and has never steered us wrong with any of out kids, BUT the wait time for us has NEVER been less than 45 minutes -1 hour, and then the appointment on top of that, so I caution people in regards to her because of that. She is a great doctor, which does make it worth the time.
Need a recommendation for dinner for a group of 8-12 tomorrow night in GP. What's good?
Kim M. replied:
I liked Blondies Bistro:)
Becky B. replied:
Jeanette, Kim and I had dinner at Blondie's after the reunion and liked it a lot - may just do that - although One Fifteen looks good too. There's always Saturday or Sunday night.

We had a wonderful time at One Fifteen Broiler http://onefifteenbroiler.com/
A friend from California is looking for camping suggestions around GP. Since I'm not a camper - and haven't lived in the area in 40+ years - I've got nothin'....
Remote Elk River near Port Orford; not remote with showers etc Sunset Bay state park near Coos Bay
Lorene H. replied:
Hi Becky! Indian Mary is still very nice and has the Rogue River right there for swimming and rafting. It's very pretty
Dave T. replied:
At Lake Selmac, between GP and Cave Junction, you can camp, swim and also also rent a boat. If the Oregon Caves is of interest, there is a wonderful campground about 5 miles before the Caves on Hyway 46 called Caves Camp. If you would like to be nested in with other tourist, don't forget Whitehorse Park, 8 miles down the Rogue River from GP. And the list goes on...

Does someone in Sacramento have a Kaiser primary care doctor they would recommend?

I have a wonderful Nurse Practitioner at the Fair Oaks Blvd. facility. Her name is NP Nancy Goodyear. She is down to earth, practice and very nice.
Nikki C. replied:
Dr. Ayesha Mahmood at the Pt. West facility.
Courtney N. replied:
Yes!!! Dr. Heather Tiska. She is the best!! She is at the Fair Oaks facility. Both Bob and I love her!
Linda B. replied:
Our family sees Dr Ravi Srinivasan. Ken and I, my parents, Ken's mom and brother all go to him. He's very responsive and thorough.
ElizaBeth P. replied:
I also have Dr Tiska. She is excellent and I highly recommend her.
Cristina A. replied:
I have Dr. Mahmood. She is ok.
Bep M. replied:
By now you probably have made up your mind - I have never had a better, more thorough P.C.P than Dr Wittkop who is at Point West. If you cannot get the doctor you want, call at the beginning of each month to find out if he/she is accepting patients. In the meantime get established with a doctor and then you can always try to change to any of above recommendations, if you don't care for the one you have gotten.
Richard J. replied:
Carole has Dr. Jo Sharma on FO Blvd. that she likes very much.
Fran W. replied:
We had Kaiser about one year ago for a couple of years. My friend is a nurse for Kaiser and she sees Dr.Tangcuangco at Pt. West. She highly recommends him. That is who I saw I did like him. He is a good listener to your concerns.
Sooo... Does anyone know of or can recommend a good primary care physician at Kaiser?
Rachel P. replied:
Sara Ashton
Malea W. replied:
Jeffery Fisch. Has been all 3 boys Dr since they were born. I love him. Even when I go in for one of the boys he always ask about the other ones. Even my one with medical issues that we see a specialist outside of Kiaser for, he ask about him every time and how it's going.

Monique W. replied:
Dr Doan!!!! He is super awesome!!! Looooove him. He trusts the parental instinct and always is about education. He's in Roseville.
Monique W. replied:
Dr Doan will personally call if the kids have been at the ER and make sure they are okay. They get fast appointments and are on time most of the time. When I thought Zach might have diabetes be just called in the lab work and let me schedule an appointment for follow up. Had Donnie with me when we went the next day and he gave Donnie shots as well so I didn't have to schedule another appointment for him.
Monique W. replied:
Oh um Dr. Lou is awesome too. He's my doctor and he is good about getting me in and calling me back. He's also on top of ANY er visits I have. One time I did a blood pressure check up and it came back high. He called me and switched my meds and called when I had not picked up the meds within 2 days of prescribing something else for me. He tends to get people In quickly and when I had a hernia, rushed me to a specialist right away. No waiting around. He listens and took into consideration about my stress levels. Good listener and works with finding a solution that I can actually do with my crazy schedule. He is also in Roseville.
Hi everyone! I'm looking for a Primary Care Physician in Sacramento. Preferably one that incorporates alternative health options. Do any of you have a recommendation?...
Laura K. replied:
Hi Lizz! This group isn't so active. I would post this same great question in our Facebook Company of Angels group as well as ask for massage therapists who work with many physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, even financial! issues as well!
Does anyone have a recommendation for a Kaiser GP doc that specializes in headaches & migraines? Preferably at Point West, but I'm willing to travel. Thanks!

Try Brandy Jo Neth-Aranjo at Integrative Wellness. Kaiser couldn't help me with mine.
