Hello! I am looking for group boot camps/strength training in town. I prefer free weights and old school strength training, not cross fit type because of past injuries....
Leanne R. replied:
Fitness Together in Dana Point. They have “pack” classes and use a lot of free weights and old school fitness exercises.

Get a Peloton! You will not regret it! It's not just a spin bike! Over 5000 on demand classes and live rides too. Plus Beyond the ride classes-strength, yoga, stretching, foam rolling, other cardio, etc. Best investment I ever made and I don't have to fight parking and signing up for classes. OnePeloton.com

Crunch San Clemente has not only Group Fitness classes but small group training (boot camp Style) with trainers on our indoor turf area. So u get use of a fully equipped gym, classes (TRX, spin, chisel, kickboxing, cardio), guest privileges (you can bring a guest for free every time) and small group boot camp style training with trainers on our indoor turf area!!!!!!! And it's half the price of the other boot camp gyms!!!!!!!

https://www.facebook.com/131218541756 asana Fit Right in downtown near Del Mar. Maybe for the very first class, I'd recommend Yin Yoga. It's slow paced and more focused on stretching than an active workout and breaking a sweat. Unless you want that, than a Vinyasa class might be a good fit. Enjoy!

Guillobel Brazilian Jiujitsu. My son has been going there for about 4 years now. And he still loves it there! The coaches are amazing. They have help mold my son into a very respectful 10 year old. Of course they focus on martial arts but teaching the kids about respect and how you treat others is a huge part of their kids program. I can't say enough wonderful stuff about them. The summer camp is amazing too. They have a class every Saturday where the parents get to train with their kids too. Great bonding time. The list goes on and on. Oh and they were voted #1 martial arts in SC! http://www.guillobelbjj.com/

Orangetheory Fitness. I'm also a member at 24 hour (rarely use it) and Equinox in Irvine and Orangetheory's classes are SO EFFECTIVE. I'm not a huge sweater but I leave OTF panting, red and pretty sweaty. I can go in with zero brain activity and I still get a phenomenal workout because the class instructor literally tells you what to do every 30 seconds or so. The music is also awesome. Another great perk is that it is SO CLEAN and the people that work there and instructors are super cool. Good luck!

There are tons of locations. They meet usually at a park in your region, and you do high intensity circuit training and obviously the major cardio portion is running with your strollers. Everything involves the kiddos though which is why I love it. I don't have to feel guilty for working out or put my kids in daycare. It's pretty affordable…you can go unlimited times per month (so everyday if you wanted) for $59. Or you can buy a block of classes, or pay per class etc. check out the website and you can input your zip code to find a branch closest to you. www.fit4 mom.com
