I had a procedure done with Motwani. They said it would be $4600, I said I wont pay more than $3500. A week later they called me and said sure. The staff was great, Motwani is very confident in his skills. The procedure was easy and its the closest thing to a miracle I have experienced. No hesitations at all.

I'm pretty sure it was Motwani who took all of Kawesch's patients after he got into tax problems. Kawesch did my eyes originally but I didn't end up with as good as promised. Motwani redid it for free and 15 years later I still have 20/20 vision. Before that, I couldn't make out an object 20 feet in front of me without contacts or glasses.

Said it elsewhere. Doctor Alison Gordon. Wonderful

anyone heard of that SMILE version of laser eye correction?

Very happy with Gordon Schanzlin. Been over a year and I love it.

My wife used Motwani and was happy with everything.

Went to Gordon Center in 2014, have had no issues at all. One of the best decisions I ever made. Highly recommend!

I got Lasik from Dr Schanzlin last month. Highly recommended. 20/200 to 20/15.

Literally one of the best optometrists there is practices in Escondido. His name is Dr. Sit. My parents literally don't see anyone but the best because my dad has diabetes, and has to have the best doctors. This is especially because diabetic rentinopathy is a possibility, and because my family has a history of glaucoma. My dad says that Dr. Sit was better at treating him than his opthalmologist. So, go to [Escondido Optometrix](https://www.escondidooptometrix.net), get an appointment with Dr. Sit, and get an examination and referral for LASIK from him.

My father and I both went to Gordon and had fantastic results. Everyone there is professional and knowledgeable.

Does anyone have nystagmus and laser eye surgery? I’ve been wondering if they would treat someone like me?
sperglord_manchild replied:
Dr. Heichel, Shiley Eye Clinic He did mine 3 or 4 years ago and it's great. 20/15 vision. I race cars and motorcycles so obviously I need good vision and even in 24 hour races at night my vision is awesome.

Anybody been to Dr. Sandy T. Feldman in Sorrento Valley/ Mira Mesa? Had a coworker who did it couple years ago. Im considering doing it. My eyesight is around -4 in both eyes but left one is worse with astigmatism

Has anyone considered la Jolla Lasik institute? I went for a consultation and they claimed to have the best technology in sd but didn't pull the trigger. This thread is making me think I should shop around more

My prescription is like -13 now is this in the range of current Lasik tech?

I posted a thread about this a month ago. https://www.reddit.com/r/sandiego/comments/72me3d/best_place_to_get_lasik_in_san_diego/ I ended up going with Dr. Pham at San Diego Lasik Institute. I see perfect now, better than 20/20! His staff and office are incredible, I can't imagine getting better service. I previously had a consultation at Global Laser Vision Center and it wasn't great, didn't get a good feeling from the process/staff. I also didn't go with Motwani due to claims of domestic abuse and a DUI. Also I heard he is not technically licensed or doesn't have some kind of certification, though it seems he still gets great results. No experience with Gordon Schanzlin, so can't say anything there.

I saw Dr Shanzlin when he was at UCSD still. My ophthalmologists recommended him. I chickened out of the surgery but thinking about it again.

Dr. Sandy T. Feldman at Clearview Eye and Laser Medical Center. I hear her being advertised on the radio at least once a day.

I'm 12 years post-surgery from Motwani. Went from 20/800 to 20/18. Still better than 20/20 to this day.
NorthPark910 replied:
Dr. Alison Gordon did mine about six months ago and she was awesome. They were MUCH more thorough during the consultation process than other places I visited first. I’ve always had dry eyes and they’re slightly worse now, but that’s normal and doesn’t reflect the quality of their work.

Wife and I had LASIK at motwai and were very impressed with overall experience. LASIK was one of the best choices my wife and I ever made. Motwani felt more like a LA plastic surgeon and also had a lot of amenities but prob cost more.

Got lasik at Motwani about a year ago. Feedback on them is there the best imo.
1. You spend more time just chatting with the staff about random stuff because there are really personable and incredibly knowledgeable about lasik.
2. There schedule is really flexible to get in for any appointment or check up you need.
3. They don't push anything you don't actually need. I asked them about the difference between the all laser lasik and the blade to cut the flap and Motwani spent a good 30 minutes explaining the technical differences and the back ground as to why he uses what he does. Boils down to the all laser is a gimmick to sell more lasik machines, has worse outcomes and pain vs the blade.
4. His complication rate is extremely low and actively is working to better the field with studies on lasik.

How much does LASIK normally cost? I’m also interested, but super broke.

Thinking about having lasik done, anyone have a referral in San Diego area? Please message me privately. Thanks.

I had Lasik back in 1997. I am very happy with it but being that It was done 17 year ago, I think I need a touch up. Gordon and Binder in University City did mine. They have since had a name change to http://www.vitals.com/group-practice/california/san-diego/san-diego/gordon-binder-vision-institute/. A couple of years ago, we referred our next door neighbors to them. They flew to San Diego and had the work done there. Both of them are very happy with the results. Pete was a motorcycle racer. After the procedure, he retired from racing. Reason: He could see so well that he was going way faster than ever. He had two "get-offs" so decided to call it a day. He's 76 years old.

Gordon, Weiss (not sure the other surgeon) located in UTC. I went there 7 years ago and had Dr. Binder ( he has since retired ) the center itself is great!!!
Tina K. replied:
San Diego LASIK Institute! Dr. Pham was amazing!! He even performs the surgeries at night so you don't have to deal with sunlight, you go home and wake up with 20/20 vision (20/15 in my case!). He uses one of the only lasers allowed on NASA level pilots, super nice, professional, and thorough. http://www.2020 sandiego.com/
