(I've used the expression "it's like pulling teeth!" my whole life. Now I get to have...
Nathan P. replied:
i used a normal dentist, by the way, vs an oral surgeon. my extraction was simple, no infections, just straightforward pulling of 2 teeth. i like her alot: http://www.lorraineoconnordds.com/
Which dentist/oral surgeon extracted your wisdom teeth? Dr. Lucchetti did mine...on California street somewhere.
Bliss A. replied:
Dr. DUMAS, he was horrible. He forgot to remove the packing and sewed them in. Infections, pain, etc., what a horrible experience. While I was knocked out he did all kinds of unnecessary things that he charged my Mom for. Mom took him to court and won.
Jennifer H. replied:
Good question...he was at 450 Sutter. My orthodontist was in the same building--Dr Arthur B Gauss.
Mary H. replied:
Dr. Dumas on Ocean Ave took mine out when I was about 18 in the late 60 s. Knocked me out, probably a good thing. About 10 years ago he extracted one of my molars. I couldn't believe he was still practicing. He did a good job, no problems either time.
Robyn C. replied:

The UCSF School of Dentistry (Torture!) is the one reason I have a deep rooted (pun intended) fear of dentists. I still remember the red brick halls and show cases of false teeth and old-time instruments. They should make a movie...horror, of course!
Veleda N. replied:
Dr. Russell. He was upstairs on Haight and Masonic. I'm with you, Bobbie Crawford. This guy was my father's dentist and didn't believe in novacaine. I get the sweats every time I go to the dentist now. A very nice man but damn he scared me!!!!!!
