Why not invisalign? You'll find a lot more dentists who do that.

Dr. Terry was great, my service was covered by insurance, so I'm not sure if she's expensive, I wrote a yelp review of her too.

Evan Vogel in Fremont is very kind, and an incredible perfectionist, and will definitely make sure that your teeth are perfect before you are done. I was there for a few years when I was younger, and I really enjoyed all of it. Insurance wise, he's very open and also includes payment plans for larger procedures. His office is more designed for kids (has PS1, PS2, N64 for them), but quite a few adults are in there all the time. The hygienists are incredibly nice and accommodating for people with a gag reflex or problems with large dental tools in their mouths. edit: After conferring with my parents, our insurance had basically covered everything there, except invisalign (which was a couple hundred for a set, I believe).

Dr. Bobby Shemirani in Fremont is wonderful. He also has a satellite practice in Foster City.

All my 3 kids see the Davie Orthodontist and we are very happy with him. We got his name from our local orthodontist who recommended him highly. We live in FL, so its very convenient for us to bring the kids to Davie Orthodontist either during their lunch time / free periods or afterschool. A lot of kids at FL see him for this reason I think. He speaks fluent English and is US board certified. https://plus.google.com/+Cronauerangelakisortho/about

If you're looking for a holistic dentist then Sandor Hites in Berkeley is the person- I met him years ago and he had a really good reputation in that kind of stuff. But if its just metal free dentistry that you're looking for that's pretty common nowadays.
