Anyone know of cheap or free places to camp on the Baja peninsula ?

Yes Ben - started out just for Central and South America and now there are places marked all over the world. Recently some contributors have uploaded their whole list - in a couple of cases, a couple of hundred useful places in one hit.

We usually camp at a place in Cataveña about 8 hrs south of the border. It looks like Joshua Tree and it costs 100 pesos ($7). I forget the name but it's on the left, it's a very small town so you'll find it.

iOverlander.com , or or you could try iOverlander.com and perhaps even on iOverlander.com you will find lots and lots. Even a few places I added last month. Not all that many truly free places but enough. Many others are from 100 pesos to 200 pesos depending on facilities. South of San Filepe are three or 4 including cocos but they are all pay places.
Does anyone know where I could get information or guidance for baja back roads? We are crossing there next month and we would like to explore some of the jeep trails and...
