Craig Veramay is the current camp director, and you could speak to him about plans for the future of camp. He may not have many details to provide yet, as this is all very recent and the rim fire is still burning, so naturally the site would be closed right now.

Thanks Victoria Davies, you clearly know me well and from my request able to make an objective statement. As someone who truly believes in the spirit of BM, I am always up for non-judgmental people. However, it would also help if you understand what you read. I asked for a camp at a GOOD PRICE not a CHEAP PRICE. I believe there is a difference between the two. Whilst on the Playa you might get or not get what you pay for / give back (I am not just talking money) burners should never feel they have the right to dismiss people or put them down because they asked a question. If for any reason you don’t agree with the question being asked there are other ways to response and educate. I am not new to the playa, I have always engaged on the playa, I have never free loaded off anyone on the playa, I love being in camps and importantly I always play my part. Yet, I somehow feel I shouldn't have to justify the question I ask. Still, the reality is, I am. Had this been my first burn, I would have really thought about no longer coming because your self-rigorousness / know it all-ness is just beyond comprehension and unwelcoming! Burning Man for me is all about happiness and still rather shocked that such an innocent question could create a not so awesome response! Now, if there are other Burners out there who are able to help answer the questions posed, then that would be awesome. There is nothing more to say on this matter. Thanking you all.
Done with science camp! Volunteering was definitely more than I expected. Such a great experience! Would recommend it to anyone in the area and I can't wait to go again.
