It's a little bit out of the city, but the Veterinary Specialty Center in Buffalo Grove is fantastic. I had to take my Persian cat there to determine if she had kidney issues and they were great.

Park Rose Animal Hospital is great. It's in Roselle, but right next to Itasca.
