I'm looking for a vet Sechelt or Madeira Park areas that doesn't overcharge or advise unnecessary procedure and is still awesome?
Myrtle M. replied:
Sechelt and Pender both have awesome vets who really care about animals. Closer is always better (in case of an emergency) but, if you're in between, visit both and choose the one you feel best about.
Claire M. replied:
I take both my big dogs to Madeira Park Veterinary Hospital. I've never felt overcharged or pushed into unnecessary procedures. 1 of my dogs has arthritis and dementia, so we do visit the office often! Dr Smalley is a fabulous man, so caring and very experienced, one thing I really like about him is his ability to also take care of the humans that bring in their pets, so patient! His team are pretty awesome too, very helpful. Knowledgeable and will always get you seen when needed!
Jen D. replied:
Go to Madeira to Dr Smalley. He has saved us thousands of dollars that sechelt vet was charging us unnecessarily. They kept doing tests for what had already been diagnosed. They just never treated it. My daughters dog wore a cone for years and 3 days after seeing Dr Smalley has never worn a cone again!!
Vancouver SPCA on 7 th St. Has a clinic, But there are Many others that do it for under $100 goggle a bunch & locations and call for prices. They usually have a flat rate ( with some exceptions, like complications etc..) It can give you time to search people's reviews about places
I would highly suggest this vet. They are wonderful people, very friendly with the animals and they do great work for EXTREMELY reasonable prices!
Judy M. replied:
Dear Carlyann Henderson, will you please send me the JPEG of this price list by email? I'm at judymclarty2013@gmail.com. Many thanks!
Carlyann H. replied:
I have always, still do, and will continue to use Sechelt Animal Hospital. I have no issues with them. Again all I am saying is there are other options.

Any suggestions on a good vet for small dogs with allergies
Andrea W. replied:
I don't have experience with pets with allergies but my senior cat has numerous health conditions that took a long time to figure out at one vet and Sechelt Animal Hospital really helped solve her conditions and manage them well.
Claire F. replied:
It is Dr Spence and Dr Quanstrom there now...both great! Dr Spence was my vet for near a decade before she moved from Edmonton to here last year. I always joke that my dogs vet moved here so i did too
Christy K. replied:
I see Dr Gillespie at Eagle Ridge / the Landing for my Shar Pei/ pit bull with extreme allergies. She is great!
Jacqueline M. replied:
Dr. Dilday at Eagle Ridge.
Kim B. replied:
Mark Dilday is the best vet on the coast and works at both Eagleridge in Sechelt and The Landing in Gibsons.
