New Frontier Animal Medical Center
Donna O. replied:
Coronado Vets are great! They've been our vet for 28 years.
Phyllis D. replied:
I like Cochise Animal Hospital in Bisbee. It's the county run animal hospital. The vets and assistants there are awesome and you can't beat their prices! Their number is (520) 432-3296. Good luck.
Dona W. replied:
Dr. Aycock at New Frontier is amazing with cats, especially cats with behavior issues. I love her!
Charles P. replied:
Dr Keith Sugaski is on of the best around
Peggy S. replied:
Believe me, Coronado is good. And their prices are reasonable. When we left FL Kid got hit by a car and broke his jaw so when we got here it was wired up. SV Animal Hospital wanted to charge over 800 just to remove the wires (alot more than the 500 we paid to have them put in which included 5 days of hospital stay). Coronado charged us around 150 to remove them and we've been using them ever since.
Pat S. replied:
Coronado Vets are the best, especially Dr. Farris. They are not as expensive as the others and your pet gets the best treatment available. Been going there for over 40 yrs.
Linda S. replied:
Dr. Drake at New Frontier
Lisa H. replied:
Coronado is the best. Dr Kroger is amazing. We had to put our dog down and they called the next day to check on us. I still take all my pets there. I love them.
Anyone have a suggestion on a good vet who will neuter dogs?
Buffi R. replied:
we use geiger mobile vet. We just had our dog spayed this week. I like him. He comes to Willcox but I think his main practice is out of the whetstone area. 520-732-8262 is their number.
Sarah J. replied:
Buffi Riggs How does it work with Dr Geiger since its a mobile service?
Katherine M. replied:
ARK in Huachuca city does low cost spay and neuter. I don't know the price for dogs but i got my rabbit neutered there for $40 and they were super nice and did a great job. http://www.animalruralklinic.com/

Karen M. replied:
I agree with Placerville Veterinary Clinic.
Bethany J. replied:
If your willing to drive Old Towne Animal Hospital in Fair Oaks is amazing. Our dog has seizures and a thyroid problem. They take the time to explain everything to you. Other vets have made me feel like I was being a pain by asking too many questions. You never get that feeling here. They also have a vet on call after hours. We have called at 2 am and had a vet answer and help us out! They also stayed after closing on a Saturday once to see our dog when he was having problems even though we didn't have an appointment. We still go to them even though we live in CP.
Deb V. replied:
Pet vets in Folsom. Can't say enough about them. 916-983-8387 been going there over 20 years. If us go tell them I sent you!

Marylou S. replied:
Have you checked in between the pads of his paws? Every once in awhile our dogs pick some burrs up which cause them to limp. Otherwise, Airport Pet Clinic is really great. On Cameron Park Dr and Alhambra in Cameron Park.
Carrie G. replied:
Cameron Park Veterinary hospital on Cambridge. They diagnosed my dog with lymphoma, helped me find a great oncologist and when it was time, came to the house so we didn't have to say goodbye at a vets office. And their hours are very flexible

All of the low-free cost clinics I know are for vaccines and alters. I would suggest you start calling the vets in your area and get pricing and alternatives (such as your example, post-visit billing) asap. What you're describing could indicate a really serious condition. I hope kitty feels better soon!
photoapple replied:
I go to Mayfair Animal Clinic and they are well priced but I don't know if they do anything on a sliding scale. For what it's worth, I had something similar happen to one of my cats and he was just dehydrated, I think the visit and treatment cost around $80.
TaliaChi1979 replied:
I go to Chicago Pet Clinic on Cicero and Addison. It's $40 to walk in, but Dr Andy is great and won't make you pay for something your cat doesn't need. But please take her/him in asap.
michellengineer replied:
Try reaching out to local shelters for recommendations. It seems that bad things always happen at the same time. I hope your luck turns around!
thegreatsharkhunt replied:
A lot of vets will let you pay your bill after the fact and some will even let you do it payment plan style. I recently switched vets and now use [Animal Care Center](http://www.animalcarechicago.com/) because they were much more affordable than my last vet. Maybe check with them and see if they can help you? Best of luck with your cat! That is very scary.
_transatlantique replied:
If you have an established vet already, call them and explain the situation. I'm sure they'd work with you.
IdStillHitIt replied:
Try a [VCA animal hospital](http://www.vcahospitals.com/), I don't know if they will or not but they're the ones that that give you a free checkup when you get an animal from paws.
Sleazy_caterpillar replied:
Thanks everyone for the great advice! I talked to a vet, they recommend I switch his food (what he had over the weekend was new) and he is much better!!! He is eating, drinking and playing, totally back to normal! I wanted to share something I found, it's called Credit Care and you apply for it, and it helps to cover pet visits, as well as dental and vision for us humans. Thanks again guys!
We need a good veterinarian for a horse we recently rescued, but don't have much money. Does anyone know one that is willing to work with us, or who isn't to expensive?
Keith R. replied:
Dr. Thrasher is awesome and affordable. Had an emergency and total bill ended up being $800 cheaper than another vet in the area wanted in cash before they would even come on the property.
Jessica M. replied:

Sapphire B. replied:
Sierra Animal Hospital does in house financing. You have to be able to pay 30% up front and the rest will get debited once a month. I know because I'm doing that right now. But you have to have the 30% in your account the day you sign the contract. There's no interest and just a small processing fee. I really like it.
