Recommendations for boarding dogs in NOVA? Hi guys - I have two pups that I'll need to board next year for about 4 days. I'd like to hear from other pet owners about...

Used this for years: http://www.oldetownepetresort.com/ Slightly more than some other places, but from what I've seen you can't beat the quality. They do a good job.

Our local Petsmart (Reston, sorry) does a good job so far as we can tell - our two Bostons always seem happily exhausted when we pick them up. Maybe worth checking out the Petsmarts in your area?

4 days isn't much, you might want to think about a dog sitter? Is that possible? Also, there are some people who take dogs into their home a fee (as long as your pups aren't dog aggressive).

If you're not going too far away you might want to consider getting a boarding house for dogs near where you are staying. I say this because there's an awesome boarding place in Waynesboro when I went to Nelson county, and another nice one IVO Smithfield. Both places are about 50% less than any boarding place in NoVA.

Check out [DogVacay](http://www.dogvacay.com). We were very happy with [this couple](http://dogvacay.com/Duke-Duchess-Love-Company-Dog-Boarding-18505). They are located near National Airport and we got daily updates and photos.

My ex's dog loved Deepwood Veterinary Clinic in Centreville. The people there were so friendly! I can't remember how much we paid for him to stay there last year, but it was far cheaper than anything in DC.

I've used [Dog Tales Daycare](http://www.maddieandellieshouse.com) and have had only great experiences!

We took our dog to Reston petsmart quite a few times. It's around $31 a night and you can add on options. They never take dogs outside which we found out after the 3 rd or 4 th time. They take them to a pee room inside. We wanted our ddog to have more freedom, so we took our dog to a leesburg boarder when we were gone or 8 days. He was $35 a night and it's all outdoors (except feeding and sleeping). The place was called Howl of a Good Time (bad name, great place) and run by one guy who really seemed to love his job.
Can anyone recommend any dog-sitters near Arlington? I don't want to put my baby in a kennel for the week I am on vacation. He's a handful and my normal sitters won't...

I bet Cindi Potter knows some.

I own Fetch! Pet Care of Rockville-Gaithersburg but we have an Arlington location (along with many others) as well. We have a number of vacation service options -we do NOT kennel. https://www.fetchpetcare.com/

We bring our very energetic 5-year old lab to Wag More Dogs in Arlington for both daycare and boarding. He loves it there and always comes home exhausted from playing non-stop. Also, they have webcams which are great for other dog owners... I just have to look for the brown blur because he never stops moving!!
