I just had to do the same to my wife’s first kitty cat :( I called laps of love and they were super helpful and it was a nice experience albeit sad. https://www.lapoflove.com/homepage-mobile.aspx. Sorry to hear about your loved one, please give the doggy the best last days!

I'm sorry to hear that. A neighbor of ours used Lap of Love recently and had a good experience. I've also heard good things about Tranquility Vet Services but it looks like they are pricier.

We used Pender's at home service and were very pleased.

http://sunshinehomevet.com/ We've used them for years. Dr. Kastner is great with our pets. He and his wife came to our house a few years ago when our 15 year old had to cross the bridge. Sadly, we have another that is approaching that time and will be using their services.

Sorry you're going through this. We used our vet who we loved however I know several people used Lap of Love.

I know there were mobile vets who offer that service in Northern VA when I looked last year. (Pretty sure it was Lap of Love mentioned here already) Some had a lot of good feedback online. Fortunately my regular vet out here in Loudoun was willing to come to our house since since we've been going to her for years. We also don't live far from her practice.
And as someone who saw one dog pass "naturally" as I carried her into the emergency vet, and then another euthanized at home in the course of a year, euthanized at home is the way to go.
15 years is a good run. After my experience last year, I really think the last gift we can give our pets is a peaceful and painless end at home in their familiar surroundings.
I didn't think it was going to be so hard to find a place that would groom a cat! Petco no longer does it and my Vet doesn't recommend it because they said it can be...
